Thread: Machotia Academy

Eric Looked at the board and saw that he was against an alakazam yellow trainer. He would need to have something up his sleeve to catch this Braniac off guard. He walked over and sat down to wait for the first match to begin and hash out his strategy for this battle.

Desh woke up in his dorm room. He had forgotten to set his alarm clock again. Of course his growlith was just as bad as a late sleeper. Desh dress as fast as possible, grabbed a sandwich and some food for growlith and sprinted toward the tournament area. Once again, running headlong into the unknown. When he made it to the arena, he fed Growlith, ate his sandwich and went to find the board that would tell him his opponent.

"Freddie Handy?" Gray tried hard not to laugh at the name.

"And the first match-up of the day is Gray Hunts vs Freddie Handy," the announcer announced. The Empoleon Blue trainer walked over to the battlefield. He grabbed a Poké Ball from his belt.

"Go, Ursaring!" the trainer shouted, throwing the capsule. A Pokémon emmerged, shaped like a bear, with a furry brown coat.

"Go! Anubis!" Gray sent his Lucario up.

Eric watched as the giant ursaring flew out of the ball and was excited to see that this grey guy that he had met had the type advantage. but he watched out as sometimes things arent always what they seemed.

"Who moves first!?"

"Use Hammer Arm!" The trainer called. Ursaring ran up, its arm glowing, towards Anubis.

((Hey! I was asking who goes first.))

"Anubis! Dodge it!" Gray ordered worriedly. "Cario!" Anubis said as he jumped out of the way. "Now! Use Aura Sphere!"

The Aura Sphere slammed into Ursaring. However, at Handy's orders, the Pokemon unleashed a blue ball of energy, Focus Blast. The attack slammed into Lucario, throwing him across the field

"Hang in there Anubis!" I said as Anubis withstood the blast, just barely... Anubis took out the Sitrus berry he was holding onto, and ate it. "Now Anubis! Use Close Combat!" Anubis dashed at the Ursaring(Remember, the move has 100% accuracy.), and in the blinks of 12 eyes, laid 12 hits on the Ursaring.

OOC: Move accuracy doesn't matter, and technically that was god-modding.

The Close Combat dealt a lot of damage, but Ursaring retaliated with a Hammer Arm and threw the Lucario across the field.

"Ursaring, finish it off! Use Hyper Beam!" Freddie Handy called. The Ursaring prepared to unleash a beam of pure energy at the Lucario. Both of them were tired. The battle was about to end. Whoever struck first would win.

"Anubis! Dragon Pulse!"

The Climax of this battle was upon them. eric watched intently as the energy flew from each contender, wondering who would get hit first.

The Hyper Beam and Dragon Pulse collided. A small, weaker beam hit Lucario, sending it stumbling back. On the other end of the field the Ursaring was fozen in position, unable to move because of the power he'd just produced.
