Thread: LoD 4: Camp Pheonix ((Late Teens to Mature))

((Remember how I said my friend was trying to draw Ellie and Jericho? Pretty-much all she can draw is anime/manga-style. XP))

I finally managed to get my hair untangled. I didn't feel like rebraiding it yet, so I just let it fan-out behind me. I actually felt rather relaxed for once. Part of that was probably due to it just being me and Jericho at the house. Whenever Ms. Neric and/or Maya was here, I tended to hide. I liked his mom, but she was always eyeing me in this really strange way. And Maya.......I didn't even want to think about Maya.

((Mrs. Neric: I never thought Jericho would fall for a blonde. that about all her input.))

I leapt over the couch I slept on and pulled my orange fleece blanket over me. I'd probably grab at least four hours of sleep six if I was crazy. Zariant happily took up his post besides me, and fell asleep too, for about an hour. Today I gotta admit I just love that damn dog, apparently whenever I went to sleep he'd go to Ellie.

(ENTER DOG VISION))

Zarient headed up stairs and phased right through to where Ellie was. In his mouth was his favorite toy, A stuffed cyclops. He dropped it on Ellie's feet and barked, which shook most of the room.

"Zariant, now my feet're all slobbery!" I complained, sliding off my bed to sit on my floor. "Silly dog," I said affectionately, tossing him the toy. "Get the Cyclops!"

The plush had barely traveled a foot before Zariant's jaw clamped down on it. He began tearing at it as most dogs do shaking it around as though killing it was possible. To him it was predatory instincts to anyone else he look like a very dizzy dog.

I giggled, unable to help myself. "C'mere, boy. Come-on."

Zariant then said something very clever.

"Bark."

Then he left the room, and headed to the back yard.

I stood-up and stretched, blowing a strand of hair impatiently out of my face. I sat-down at the little white vanity I'd found in the room, and set-about rebraiding my hair to keep it out of my face.

Zariant now came back into the room, and picked up ellie, which if you saw him in husky form was hilarious, and took her outside.

"Whoa! What are you doing?" I yelped, startled.

Zariant begin to dig up the back yard going at least two feet down. I mean while began shivering as something was definitely not right. I got up from my bed and head out back where I saw Zariant. I ignored Ellie for a moment and began to pull at my dogs collar.

"I told you to cut that out Zariant! They need to stay buried!" I yelled trying to wrestle the hellhound away.

I couldn't help laughing a little. "What exactly is he doing?"

"Its not funny!" I said.

I was unable to pull my hellhound back, and instead forced him forward shadow teleporting him away.Then he teleported back and tackled me.

"Zariant you're pushing it today!" I growled at him, "You know I haven't slept in almost twenty hours now."

"You would be able to sleep more if you didn't always take extra shifts," I reminded him kindly, standing-up and brushing the dirt off my hands, "This whole fight doesn't revolve around whatever you do, ya know." Knowing he would possibly get upset at that, I turned and went back towards the house.

"Actually it does and for this reason"

I forced Zariant off me, and pulled a small wooden box from the hole. Inside were the amulet and the moonstone.

"This whole fight currently is where it is because MY SOUL was torn up giving immortality to the idiot who wears the ring. I'mt he one who brought Victor back. In this case it is all about me!"

I turned and observed him coolly. I loved him -how could I not?- but sometimes he annoyed me. "I know. You told me the day we got here, remember? But that doesn't mean you have to run yourself into the ground because there's a teensy-tiny chance somebody you wanna kill is gonna just waltz right up." I took a deep breath.

"You're playing right into his hands, Jericho. You're driving everybody nuts, going all obsessive over the war, you're pretty-much brushing-off all the people who're trying to help you, and making yourself sick from not sleeping, 'cause you wanna play the hero, and you're ruining your life."

And mine. I didn't say it, I couldn't bring myself to, but I could almost feel it in the air.
