Thread: Journey through Unova! (Sign Ups always open!)

Welcome! This is my first journey RP. In this RP, you take the place of a Trainer starting their journey. As you can tell by the title, this takes place in Unova, specifically the first Black and White. On your journey, you shall face many challenges. Are you ready to explore the Unova Region?

Name: Chris Vander
Nickname: N/A
Age: 14

Personality: Chris is very rash and hot-blooded, and can sometimes seem like a jerk. He rarely registers peoples feelings, often pushing them aside. Despite this, he is a very good friend. Despite his being overweight, he is surprisingly athletic and fast, but often gets tired easily. Chris is extremely eager for the start of his journey, loving pokemon of all shapes and sizes.

Appearance: Chris stands tall at 6'0", with a slightly large gut. He wears long blue jeans and black shirts, often with a Windbreaker jacket alongside it. His long black hair covers his green eyes and his fairly sharp nose. His shoes are very worn down, and his pants have several cuts. His left arm is slightly burned from and accident from when he was seven, but it is hard to see with his jacket over it.

History: Born in Nuvema Town, Chris was always raised to love battling. Despite being in a family of prodigies, Chris never really got to show what he could do. His first pokemon, a woobat, flew away from him when he was only seven; said accident put him near depression. Every other pokemon he got the chance to command never listened to him, and there were rumors going around that pokemon were afraid of him.

On the day he was supposed to start his journey, he was denied a pokemon by the old professor of the town, Professor Teslam. Chris was devastated, and was forced to assist his brother in his contest preparations. When Professor Juniper came to town, Chris is finally able to receive a pokemon.

Nickname: Agent K

Personality: Agent K is a highly experienced trainer, having trained with Pokemon since he was a child and continues to do so well into his adulthood. He has learned to stay calm in the thick of battle and that losing his cool would often lead to losing the fight. Agent K tends to keep to himself in an effort to not draw too much attention to himself. He will stay out of trouble until, of course, he called upon to get involved with just that. He can have a bit of a mean-streak if his efforts are interupted, but he will usually disguise his motives anyway.

Appearance: Agent K wears his Team Rocket uniform before his superiors and away from prying eyes, he will almost always be wearing a disguise. This disguise consists of normal, comfortable travelling clothes including a non-descript pair of jeans, a plain white shirt beneath a denim jacket and a pair of walking shoes. He wears an impassive expression on his face and his hair is dark and unkempt.

History: Agent K joined Team Rocket while travelling through Kanto when he was simply offered the role by a Recruitment Officer in the Cape of Cerulean. Abandoning his true name and adopting the alias "Agent K", ee has been a member ever since. His knowledge of Pokemon and expertise in the field attributed to his quick promotion from Field Agent to Special Agent. He aspires to eventually become an Executive. Agent K has been sent to Unova under the guise of just another wandering trainer in response to rumours of Team Plasma's existence. His mission is to hunt down the rival Team, thwart their efforts at every turn and help to gain a foothold in Unova for Team Rocket.

Other: Umbreon and Tyranitar, two of Agent K's first Pokemon, have been left behind at Team Rocket HQ for the time being. Though Agent K isn't entirely happy about it, his superiors believe that these two Pokemon would simply draw too much attention. He may or may not be given access to them at a later date should the need ever arise.

Name: Marion (like Marionette)

Nickname: Dolly

Age: 12

Personality: Marion has a short attention span and gets distracted easily. She's most likely to pull of a Leeroy Jenkins moment and run into an extremely dangerous place without preparation or thought. When she's frustrated or angry, all she says is angry-sounding gibberish. Marion has a weak mind, thus making her easily hypnotized, confused, or possessed by her own Gastly. Also, ever since she was little she has loved Ghost-type Pokemon and as creepy as it sounds, she's been able to hear a few of them. But she can only hear Ghost-types.

Appearance: Well, since I don't like describing, I'll just give you a picture:

History: Marion was born in Lavender Town and was raised there for the majority of her life. When she was little she was always hoping to see a ghost, like how most of the town had seen at least one. She had visited the Pokemon Tower every day after school, but she hadn't found one until she was five years old. Thus she became even more curious and spent as much time as she could there. She was developing ways to hopefully hear what a spirit has to say without any technology, and at the age of 10, she had finally heard one. A year later, her parents announced that they were moving to Nuvema Town in the Unova region in hopes of making her lose the obsession of spirits and ghosts. She was NOT happy about this, and on her very last visit to Pokemon Tower, a mischievous Gastly had possessed her camera (one of the many items in her bag), and because of that ended up traveling to the new region along with her.

Not too soon later, the Pokemon realized the mess he got himself into, and was later captured to become a starter Pokemon.

Pokemon: Gastly, Male, Levitate

Other: She has a Camera and a Video Camera in her bag, which she has previously used for ghost hunting. Also when her Gastly possesses her in order to talk to humans, he refers to her as Dolly, thus giving her the nickname.

Name: Midori Koutetsuban

Age: 13

Personality: Midori is kind, friendly, honest, loyal, and caring, especially towards pokemon. She loves helping others and loves to have fun. She’s usually cheerful and smiling. She shows her emotions unless she doesn’t want to worry someone. She is a bit of a klutz and can be very naïve at times. She also is easily confused. She hates to see others anything that’s not joy, as long as they aren’t evil or bad. She respects most opinions.

Appearance: Facial Appearance: Midori has waist length brown hair that she keeps up in a ponytail with bangs that hang loosely to her shoulders on either side of her face with some that hang above her eyes in the middle of her face. Her eyes are a canary yellow like jewels shining.

Body Appearance: Thin body frame, averagely developed, and stands at 4’10’’

Clothing: A white t-shirt with a red hooded vest over it, usually worn open. White jean shorts and pink/white colored sneakers.

Accessories: She has a pink bandanna w/pokeball designs of lighter pink around her waist under which she carries her pokeballs. Her back pack is pink as well. She wears red wristbands on her wrists.

History: Midori was born on/in Village Bridge and grew up with no others her age. Her father had left when she was three and visited a few times afterwards, leaving her with few memories of him. While she asked about him, her mother never told her why he left. Due to having no peers of her age Midori spent her time playing with the wild pokemon in the area. One day when she seven she found several of the pokemon fighting against another, one she had not seen in the area other than with passing trainers. Immediately she noticed it to be differently colored than those with trainers and understood quickly that the other pokemon were against it not only being foreign to the area but also because of its odd coloration. She quickly jumped in front of the other pokemon’s attacks protecting the one on defense. The other pokemon not wanting to hurt their friend backed off as Midori picked up the odd colored pokemon and carried it home. Upon arriving home she discovered it to be called a pawniard, and that the odd coloration was something known as shiny. Midori nursed the shiny pawniard back to health. Once it was able to go back to the wild she was ready to let it go, but instead of it leaving it stayed right by Midori having taken a liken her. With Midori’s mom’s permission the pawniard became Midori’s first partner. Six years later she set off to start a journey from Nuvema town with a simple pokemon medical kit as well as a human one. There in Nuvema town she received a pokedex and five pokeballs from professor Juniper. Before leaving home her mother gave her a pokemon egg.

Other: She has the ability to understand pokemon’s emotions due to growing up with them, though she is unaware of this ability and it still has yet to develop to its full potential.(Only if allowed)

Name: Danny Cridland

Nickname: Derrick the DJ, Mr. Dark-type-gym-leader

Age: 14 2/3

Apperance: Wears a black t-shirt with a musical note emblem, black hair, pale skin, headphones on ears, braces on teeth, cargo pants, shiny shoes, tall, cute and handsome.

Personality: Diagonsed with ADHD and Asperger's Sydrome, smart with a short temper, cool, sultry at times, friendly, competitive. Like videogames SO MUCH.

History: After being succesful as a DJ at Derrick's DanceDiner in Virbank City (aka the new place that Roxie uses as a gym), Danny decided to take things up a notch and decided to start preparing to be the FIRST EVER Dark type Gym leader. He dosen't want to be a fancy Elite 4 member (which all the Dark type lovers are) or a stupid DJ anymore, he justs wants a chance to make the fanbase peaceful.

Pokemon: Skourpi (m) with Sniper (moves are: Night slash (egg), Slash (egg), Poison sting and Venoshock (once given by a tm from Roxie)).

Age:14
Appearance: Tailisu is 5'4 tall with a slim figure. His hair color is dark brown with choppy bangs and it is also a little shaggy. His most distinguishing feature is his hetero chromatic eyes, his right eye is blue while his left eye is green.

He mostly wear t-shirts, button up shirts and jeans or shorts of cool colors. He also wears sneakers or running shoes. He dislikes formal clothing, preferring to wear clothes that are comfortable to wear. He has a messenger bag which contains various objects like his sketch pad, pokeballs and pokegear. Pieces of accessories which he always wears are two necklaces of gold and silver color which was given to him by his older brother and sister respectively.

Personality: Tailisu is an optimistic and eccentric kid. He is very good nature and is always nice to people, even mean ones. Nothing will make him break up a good friendship and even if he has a valid reason it would be very hard to do so for him. He always says weird thing when stating something. He has certain ideals and small illusions about life. He also serves a mediator when people are fighting. He relaxes by drawing, listening to music and interacting with his Pokemon.

History: Tailisu was born on Cerulean City. He lived with his Parents, Brother and Sister until he was 8 years old where they moved to Castelia City because his Dad was offered a better job. While he and his parents moved to Unova, his siblings stayed behind to complete their respective journeys. While he was enjoying the new setting despite some small discomfort with leaving his old home and friends, he was also somewhat bored. He suddenly had an idea, he should go on a Pokemon Journey like his brother and sister. After asking his parents, he was taken to Professor Juniper's lab with his Staryu that he had since it was an egg to officially begin his journey.

My first ever RP yay so excited

Name: Amber Radford
Nickname: N/A
Age: 11

Personality: Amber is enthusiastic and very optimistic. She is loud, sometimes obnoxiously so, and speaks her mind without any second thought, which often annoys people. She ignores insults and doesn't understand sarcasm. She often misses the point during conversations. She is curious and often randomly runs off to investigate places, often getting her into trouble. She is quite childish and has a tendency to call people 'meanies' when she doesn't get her way.

Appearance: Has light brown hair and hazel eyes, and is of average height. She wears a light green T-shirt and black shorts, plus red and white runners.

History: Amber grew up in Nacrene City. Her parents worked as assistants to Lenora in the museum. They took long hours and often left her at home alone. She wasn't really interested in their work and instead explored the outskirts of the town and watched trainers battle. One day, they brought home a Pokemon fossil which she was allowed to revive on her tenth birthday. Afterwards, however, their workload became too much and they were forced to send her to Nuvema to live with her aunt. She was given a PokeDex and some starting supplies by her cousin, who has stopped travelling to stay home and help around the house due to disinterest.

Pokemon:
Male Archen, nicknamed Rex. Defeatist ability.

Other: She is a big eater and has the supernatural ability to digest food in two seconds so she can eat more. She has quarrels with Rex over food.
