Thread: Bounty Hunters Part II: The New Era

"Yeah the Zero guy that Tye defeated." Klay nodded is head as he began to trail back into his memories. "Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the BHA sent some other members, if these guys really are involve with Red Spiders they wouldn't want them to meet, I mean they would basically get an undead army." Klay pointed out. "So chances are that this might be a multiquest."

"For newbies, multiquests are requests where more than one Guild is requested to participate." Sakura explained.

Erika's sudden exclamation managed to wake Leon up, though part of his residual fatigue seemed to remain. Getting up from the table with a yawn, he stretched and looked at the request information on the screen before saying "I'll go. If they've hidden their links we could probably have Jack or Brine search their minds to find them. If that were to work, I think my abilities would be useful."

Matthew looked at the mission for a few moments before saying "I think I'll sit this one out. I need to spend some time to try to get some control over my Primal Form, and this base would be the ideal enviroment for doing it."

'Uhm...not to sound chicken, but can I skip this mission? I... I have a weak stomach for the undead....' Mark admitted then stepped into the room since he had been stood just outside the room listening in.

He scratched the back of his neck leaned agaisnt the door way.

'They just sorta make me queezy and well.... I cant shoot well or use my powers when nausia or vertigo sets in.'

"But I could really use a sniper." Klay frowned while ruffling the back of his head. "Would it help if you cover your eyes? you can always just use PSI to track your opponents."

"Probing isn't that easy when it comes to Undead." Sakura pointed out. "You'll have to be really prepared and it has to be in a a calm environment, the only reason Jack is able to do it is because he always keeps his cool at all times, probing can't be done without that."

"Anyways let's go then!" Klay cheered befoer he stood up and pocketed his hands. "To the Shadow Lands!"

"Aw...Scared?" Eirika asked, appearing behind Mark and hugging him. "A lot of us are pretty much totally human. Aside from being a little dead. See, I'm not rotting or anything."

"Exactly." Sakura replied. "Undeads and zombies are different things, undeads are basically revived people minus the can't die part, other than that they are basically the same and can pass off as a normal part of society." she nodded her head sagely before looking at Eirika. "Or as normal as our world can get at least."

"So if they are different to zombies, how do they fare against fire? Still weak or a problem?" Stephanie asked getting ready to go as well to the Shadow Lands.

"Well like I said before, some Undead are able to regenerate themselves." Sakura pointed out. "Yes they can be affected by fire, but no that won't kill them and yes they could just regenerate with time."

'Its more the idea of what they are.' Mark said then swiftly elbowed Eric in the gut, 'Lets face it I may be a murderer, but at least death happens in nature. Resurection doesn't. I don't think I can do this mission.'

OOC: It wasn't Eric who hugged him, it was Eirika another character completely different and a girl.

IC: "Scaredy cat." Klay chuckled inaudibly.

"Klay stop teasing him." Sakura pointed out while frowning at Klay. "Though I still don't understand what scares you so much considering that skills and those modified monsters don't happen in nature either."

'As I said its not fear. its out right disgust. I hate my skills when ti comes right down to it the power to simply destroy so easily. Its the only reason I'm here because I'm trying to make up for them.' Mark said then left.

Jakku left the room for a minute, then returned.
"I am fully stocked with weapons."
He said shortly.
"Are we prepared?"

"I'm ready to depart." Jack commented.

"That's racism, ain't it?" Eirika said. It was kinda hard to tell if she was amused or offended.

OOC: Anyways, Eric left.

"Wait Mark, you have a rifle I can borrow? I AM a marksman anyways, while I am acclimated to the bow and arrow I do know my way around a rifle," said Brine before turning to Klay. "You need a sniper, I can be it, while I'm nowhere near as fancy or as good as Mark, I can be effective."
