"No, why?" Evan asked, cocking his head to the side.

'meh. Its just me taking pleasure in my work.' Mark shrugged, 'I'll at least admit I never want it to come down to just skill, since that tends to mean I'm just trying to kill without any restraint.'

'But anyway, what's your skill?" Schwarz asked curiously.

Jack was smiling now. "If you had wanted to leave you would do so." Jack pointed out. "So since we are all having this chat, we know you want to be here. Which means my job is to determine your angle."

Evan internally facepalmed at Jack. He was pretty sure that she didn't want to be here, if only because he knew that she probably couldn't use her PSI right now.
"I can just draw runes on you instead of having chains. They'll let you move around, but explode if you try and remove them, attack anyone, or leave." Evan said.

"I know you can do that already Evan." Fria pointed out with a deadpan. "I've done my research."

"So would you rather have that or be chained up?" Evan asked, spinning around in his swivel chair.

"Chains are nothing to people like us Evan." Jack was amused at this.

"I don't even know what you guys want me to say for one." Fria smirked.

Jack was amused by Fria's answer. "I seem to be under the impression you've been in situations like this before." He mused, not really addressing Fria directly. "But what I want to know is why are you still here? Because we've established that we're not inhibiting your powers, you are way stronger than you would need to be to make those chains meaningless, and you don't seem to doubt you could fight both of us off and escape before help arrived." Jack pointed out. "Which leads me to believe you're after something here. And I would be remiss if I didn't find out what."

"Well maybe I am after something." Fria nodded her head before looking down at her hand. She raised it slightly. "I'm someone that likes suffering, after all, scientists can only come up with great things when they suffer...however." she clenched her fist. "As long as she's alive I'll never be able to suffer, so." she smirked. "If I kill her with my own hands the suffering won't stop ever."

"Evan can you come up here for a moment?" came Sakura's voice through the intercom.

Jack smiled. Sakura's intervention could not have been more timely. Evan would have not allowed the interrogation to run down this road. "So we've reached the climax of this little discussion." Jack said with a smile. "But before we head there I'd like you to tell me about your mother. I met her recently. Nice woman. Very skilled too." He drifted off. "I'd like to know more about your mother and your sister." He explained. "So grab a cup of coffee and let's talk about your family."

"You know you can just ask my sister right, no need to ask me." Fria chuckled and stuck her tongue out at Jack in mocking.

Jack laughed at this. "Come on Fria, don't treat me like I'm an idiot." He requested. "We both know your sister would leave out all the juicy bits... she's too nice, too guarded..." He shrugged. "And those juicy bits are really what interest someone like me."

"I think you understimate Sakura too much." Fria chuckled. "The problem wasn't our mother." she said and looked down at the floor. "She was always traveling around and leaving us at home but when she was there she would always play with us...no, the problem was our father."
