Thread: Bounty Hunters Part II: The New Era

"Uggghhhh..." Mark was still lying there on the plaza cobble.

he was winded and dazed by the punch, but the effects had been delayed by his earlier adreniline rush. Mark struggled to get into the nearest alley so that he could get out of the way of the others.

The mosnter wasn't able to hold otu for too long as it hit by the attacks casuing it to keep roaring in pain. It managed to turn to Jakku though and was able to throw a swift kick at him.

"Dynamic entry!" Eric yelled. As he zoomed towards the monster, he turned into his arietaur form. He flew at the beast, his hooved kick backed by 60 MPH and 300 pounds of muscle.

Leon landed on the other side of the beast, his body emitting a bright red light as he absorbed the drained energy from the monster. He then noticed that the item he had thrown moments ago was about to reach its peak of flight. Deciding that this would be just as good an opportunity to test it out as he would ever get, he quickly used the Red Step, vanishing in a flash of light once more.

Seconds later, he reappeared in the air far above the beast, level with the soon-to-be descending item. As he grabbed the item, a glint of moonlight revealed a label on it:HA-NH1. He then threw the small bottle directly below him. As it flew downward, he quickly teleported to a nearby rooftop and took a deep breath before placing both of his hands together. He then fired a Red Bolt, the lightning-like red energy flying from his outstretched hands towards the beast at an incredible speed.

As he continually released energy to feed the bolt, Leon silently muttered "Please let it hit the bottle"

The beast vansihed in a flash, avoiding the kick. It however appeared behind Leon and proceeded to throw its leg down at him so as to stomp on his body.

"Guys this fight is getting out of control already." Sakura gritted her teeth, her hands glowing as she began to gather energy for the barrier.

Leon managed to avoid the majority of the impact by teleporting, though he did feel a bit of the residual pain. However, he surprisingly reappeared directly on top of the monster's back.

He quickly yelled out "Nobody get near me until this move stops. I can't control who it drains if they get close" before his entire body lit up in an extremely bright flash of light. Following the flash, a red line of light began crack through the ground, tracing a circle around the beast in a matter of seconds.

Leon's entire body then let out another flash of light, before both his body and that of the beast began to glow with a bright red outline. As Leon took a semi-feral pose, red energy quickly began to seep from the beast, flying into Leon's own body immediately afterwards. As he felt his own energy reserves skyrocket, Leon silently willed that the move work, for he would be defenseless immediately after the move's conclusion, and for the following few seconds as well.

'Sakura. Wait we still need to track down it's victims. Tell everyone to back off I got this.'

Mark said then jabbed himself with one of his tracker darts. He ran out of the alley and threw a sickle wing at the monster. the blade flew across all three of their faces leaving gashes on them. Mark taunted the beast as best he could throwing his sickle wings to get it to chase. Mark had made his decision. He would earn reconciliation even at the cost of his own blood.

The monster lashed out and grabbed a hold of Leon, only to throw him down to the floor with great force. It roared loudly. Something happened that shocked Sakura though. The green spot on its body began glowing brighter and the rest of its body proceeded to surround itself with green light as well.

The beast looked at Mark for a moment before it jumped forward and appeared in front of him.

"We can do that later! we still don't know what the hell this is." Sakura gritted her teeth before firing the barrier at the beast. Unfortunately the beast wsa able to jump over the barrier and lash out at Mark.

"Okay I think we've made it." Klay sighed as he landed on the ground once more. They were now at a clearer spot and seemed to be approaching yet another gate. The gate led into a concrete bridge that proceeded to connect to an island that was in the middle of a small lake. Klay stared at the large castle that stood in the center of the island, it having three towers that alligned into a perfect triangle. "There it is." he muttered.

Mark jumped back, and threw three more sickle wings. He sprinted away, but found he was cornered so he back climbign up the building to the roof where he could grab his rifle. Only problem was this thing was much faster then he could climb that was obvious.

The creature launched itself at Mark once more, this time thrusting its left fist forward at his back.

'DOWN BOY'

Mark focused hsi telekinetics forced the hulking beast back into the ground. He rushed to get back to the roof and retrive his rifle.

"Sakura, I have sufficient Life energy stored to use my Limit Break."
Jakku called out, his head poking round one of the roof corners near the monster.
"Would this be wise?"

Shimo looked out across to the castle.
Someone was really on an ego trip when they built this place...
She murmured.

Leon was too late to teleport to avoid the impact of the throw, and he hit the ground hard before bouncing off of the ground and hitting a wall with audible force. As Mark fought with the beast, Leon tried to get up, only to feel a sharp pain in his left leg. It was likely that it was fractured, or broken. Reguardless of which condition it was in, it still hurt like hell. He only managed to stand semi-steadily by flooding the energy he had drained through his leg. While it worked, it was obvious that it was at most a temporary solution to a permanent problem.

As Leon leaned against a wall for support, he managed to pull out a throwing knife from beneath his jacket, and a pale substance could be seen dripping from the blade. He then wordlessly threw the neurotoxin laced knife into one of the beast's leg, hopefully hitting a vein to speed up its paralyzing effect.

"No." Sakura shook her head. "We'll retreat for now." she stated before looking at Mark. "Mark, put a tracker on it."

"Sure we can't take it now? It's pretty obvious the green part of it's chest is important. Like it's weak point." Eric said, as, returning to his android form, he fired bullets from his fingers at the monster.
