Thread: Bounty Hunters Part II: The New Era

'Why is it that whenever I try to telepath to one person everyone hears it!?' Mark questioned, 'And does that mean we are air dropping?'

Serah hadn't done much to introduce herself, but oh well. Mark was willing to change topics, but as a bit unwilling.

'Also if it hasn't been said already I'm Mark, and fittingly so I'm one of the teams top snipers. Wait Klay do we even have any other pro snipers?' Mark telepathed.

"Slit, but he's not here." Sakura shrugged. "Schwarz was pretty good but he didn't specifically handle weapons, though you don't know him."

Klay looked at Serah for a moment, he had never been told what people from the Corps Guard had to go through aside from the usual, in fact now that he thought about it no one knew what they had to go through to begin with as the BHA usually kept it as a secret from everyone else. "Is their base seriously that big?" Klay asked before turning to Shimo. "Yeah but aren't we all humans at the end of the day." he laughed.

"Mark we already landed." Tink pointed out. "You can jump off if you like but that would be a waste."

'...' Mark was silent as he looked over the edge, 'then why do I still feel like I'm moving...'

meanwhile mark was slightly hovering above the ground and moving to the right at a very slow pace.

Looking to Mark, she nodded. "You're a gunner, huh?" Really, her powers were... complicated. Incredibly powerful and useful, yes. But complicated.

Serah rubbed the back of her head, turning to Klay. "The base, itself, is roughly the size of a city. However, there are underground places that the Corps searched for. Like, literally."

And the sheer size of those... "And those have the capability of being the size of small countries."

"I thought the Corps were supposed to be more secretive." Klay pointed out with a raised eyebrow.


"They are." Sakura interrupted. "At the end of the day the surface is not the only place that can be habitated and even then only 60% of the current world is actually habitated by people." she explained. "Hey Mark, there's something I wanted to tell you actually, it's this technique my mom was teaching me, Jack and Brine the other day.

"Maybe cause you're levitating." Tink pointed out to Mark.

Klay turned to Serah once more. "So...what did you do in this research facilities?" he asked, his tone becoming more solemn.

Serah paused for a second. Then she answered him. "... Let's just say that I don't expect a happy afterlife. No matter how sorry and regretful I am."

She shook her head. That was in the past. This was now. Ever since she joined the Slayers, she made it her responsibility to keep herself far away from her old self.

She wanted nothing more than to change the subject.

'But you were the one who brought it up~'

Quiet!

'Trust me Serah, I'll be seeing you down there...If I can stop floating. come on... URGH!' Mark growled.

he kept tryign to land but was instead floating around like link in the hover boots from OOT.

'What was that about out powers getting stronger or something... This is jsut ruining very shread of dignity I have. between this and my iguana talkign I should be a circus act not a soldier.'

Shimo grinned.
This is priceless.
She pushed Mark gently, sending him floating away from her.

"I'm sorry." Klay apologized, his face looking like he was indeed sorry for asking. "I shouldn't have asked."

"Guys stop bothering Mark." Sakura scolded, though she lightly pushed him as well. "You know you can just lower yourself on your own right."

'Been trying to.'

Mark whistled as loud as he could. moments later Quincy came scurrying up the wall of the ship, and then proceded to try and climb onto Mark's shoulder btu kept instead nudging him farther down the deck.

'knew I should have gotten a dog.'

Mark lifted up Quincy telekinetically and placed him on his shoulder. it was only a tiny shift in weight, but he was now able to use quincy as a focal point and force himself down.

'...meet Quincy.' Mark said.

"kriss suggg." Quincy hissed.

'You're and iguana not a snake cut it out.' Mark disciplined his pet.

((btw Yun Mark is mute so thats why he's telepathing everything.))

"Okay so let's get down." Sakura said.

After the group had gotten down from the ship they made their way towards the wall of the Biotope. "State your name." came a robotic voice before two guards walked out of the facility.

"We're from the Slayers." Klay announced and took out his Bounty Hunter license. "We're stopping here at the Biotope for shelter."

The guards looked at each other for a moment before they both stared at the license. "Follow us." they turned around and began walking.

Shimo rolled her eyes.
Oh good, terminators.
She grinned.
No weapons check? Cause that might take a while.

Jakku caught up with the group, hands in his pockets.
He was whistling softly.

"That was weird" Tye stayed with the group as they followed the guards. I guess the just let anyone with a license in here? "That is...reassuring" He mumbled sarcastically.

'Quincy has a license, so hope they don't mind either that or I need something eles approximatly fifteen and a half pounds.'

Mark ws trying to make a joke to make it seem like he could laugh at what happened, but he was really trying to be serious with Serah since he definantly got that idea that redemption is something almost impossible to find.

"There's no need for that." Klay shook his head. "I think."

"No there isn't." one of the guards stated. "Hunter Signs cannot be easily falsified, each sign has an invisible code that can only be seen using these." the guard then proceeded to take out a pair of contacts from his eyes.

The group was led into a large white room that was connected to an elevator-like tube at the end of it. "So we were wondering if you could let us stay here at the Biotope."

"We already called one of the researchers in charge of this facility, he will guide and supervise you." the guard instructed.
