Nintendo is refusing to port over RPGs/non-casual games they own the license to the USA's Wii, which makes me think that buying a Wii U would be a spectacularly bad idea since the American market to the big N apparently only deserves Wii Play/Wii Sports/Wii Resort titles.
I just thought I'd add that to this thread. I just skimmed through it, so I don't know if all of it is legit, or mere speculation. Regardless, I'm sure it will be worth reading.
Which pretty much confirms it's another PowerPC/ATI console, like the cube, the Wii, and the 360.
I'm astonished there's so few debate about the Wii U! Maybe It's because there's not much to debate about...
I had a feeling that was going to be the case, but I still had hope. :(
It's a fair compromise, I suppose. But, that's assuming it'll happen.
That makes no sense.
So on the 360 and PS3, you can play XBox 1 and PS1 games from discs or the online marketplace, but on the WiiU, you can only play Cube games from the marketplace.....
It's a matter of sacrificing certain technologies for the sake of price. Plus they know certain people will buy all their old games again. Means more money. That's a win.
I think we're missing the big question here.
WILL IT HAVE A NEW F-ZERO WITH AN ADVENTURE MODE WHERE FALCON USES HIS GUNS AND BEATS THE EVER LOVING CRAP OUT OF BOUNTYHEADS!?
I'm serious, I want a new F-Zero game where you get to play outside of the races, possibly chasing down criminals through various locations. Need to catch up to a crook and break his spine? Falcon Kick and shash him into the concrete. Need to attack before they have a chance to shoot you? Raptor Boost and make sure they have to be fed liquid. Need to jump onto an escaping helicopter? Jump, grab onto the copter and then explode the motors. Some street rat giving you some lip? FALCON PUNCH HIS UGLY FACE IN. An enemy not worth your pyrokinetic manlitude? Just take out you pistol and put a bullet in his foot.
I'm serious, F-Zero has all the makings for Nintendo's first M-rated series. I mean you already commit murder by smashing someone's racer off the track to a painful, firey death.
