    Default Website help

my bro's friend came over today to show us the website he programmed. He made my brother an admin of course (he shouldn't have >.>). So anyway, he showed about making webpages on Notepad.
Although I remember some HTML, I don't know how to save it as a web link. Any ideas?

If you're wanting to save the Notepad file as a web page, save it as .htm or .html. If you're trying to remember how to code in a link it's < a href="link">text you want the link to display as</a> (remove the space between the first < and the a).

    ^ thank you
nothing on the page so far, but I'm about to code in stuff.

EDIT: Turns out I can only save as .txt and "All Files"... what now?

Where is says "File Name", just type "yourfilename.htm" (replacing "yourfilename" with whatever you want to name it). It's not an option in the dropdown menu, but if you type it out, it will work just fine.

An additional note, it's best to save it with UTF-8 encoding.

Thank you. My website has no background color, I've tried all the background HTML tags I know. What's the tag to key it in? Sorry I often forget HTML tags and still don't know some of them :P
