    Default Mysterious blue dot

A blue (sometimes black) dot has appeared on my DS lite screen. It grows and shrinks sometimes too. Does anyone know what happened or if it can be fixed? Also, my ds hasn't been dropped ever.

Your screen is probably damaged. Those are dead pixels.

My original DS has had a couple red ones in the middle of each screen since the day I got it. I'm used to it, so I barely even think about it anymore.

Can you try showing a photo of the blue dot on the screen?, Like Insomniac said, it's probably dead pixels. Might want to send it to Nintendo of America to get it fixed.

    It's defientley dead pixels.

My PSP has had this one dead pixel ever since I bought it so it may mean that it may not be your fault.
It may just be a factory fault.

Your description definitely typifies dead pixels, and hearing in this thread just how common a factory defect this issue is has cemented my resolve not to buy a DS.

Odd, my DS doesn't have dead pixels, yet my PSP 2000 has had a ring around the screen since day 1.

Dead pixels are common among all LCDs, call nintendo and get it fixed. If it's out of warranty, you can replace the LCD yourself.

My friend has had one in the lower left hand side of her screen ever since her little brother dropped it into the sink. *rolls eyes*

Contact Nintendo. They do actually reply to things rather quickly.

As Dawn~Berlitz said earlier, a dead pixel is static, not dynamic. The most likely issue I can see here is a crack in the screen. It makes perfect sense: changing size, changing color... the liquid crystal changes from black to blue depending on temperature (source). You can find replacement screens on Amazon, eBay, and the like.

Thanks, I probably buy one of those screens.
