Thread: How do I turn off an X-Box 360 controller for Windows

Hey there, I just got a new X-Box 360 controller for windows and played with it a bit to check if it works.
When I was done with it I unpluged the USB conector thingy and the controler kept blinking.
I took the batteries out and put it back in to save them.
How do I turn the controller out in the future so my batteries won't run out?

You can only do it in a GFWL game. Hold the X long enough, and it will ask you if you want to turn off the controller.
Also, it autoturns off after a while if the usb dongle is plugged in.
