Thread: This is going to sound weird but...

I can't connect to any website, except for Bulbagarden. o_O

If I try any other website, I get this error message:

Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found.

Quoted from Chrome's support page:

Click Start =>Run, type in CMD, press OK.
Copy and paste this into the Command prompt:
netsh winsock reset catalog
Press Enter
Then copy and paste this in:
netsh int ip reset reset.log
Press Enter.
When finished restart your computer.

Which browser are you using, BTW?

I'm using Chrome.

When I input the command I get this:

The requested operation requires elevation.

I think that means you need more permissions.

Is the computer yours? Are you its only user?

It's my computer. I am the only user and my user level is Administrator. (Windows Vista Home)

How long has this been going on? There was a virus a few weeks ago that was causing this, and Vista is a bit weak against viruses.

It's been like this for about a day.

I'm curious though. Why is it that I can only get to Bulbagarden? (Well, some other sites do work, for instance Facebook... But I need to reload it a heap of times to get it to work.)

Edit: I'm checking Windows for errors...Probably a good place to start.
