cant connect to the internet at home
at home, i cant connect my laptop to the internet. i know the wep code, so whats wrong?

Some laptops apparently don't cooperate with WEP security (the Acer Aspire has been reported to not work with it), but if it isn't that, I have a few tips:
WEP codes have multiple passwords. If there are multiple boxes to put them in, use all of them. If there's one box, put the first one in.
If you have access to and know the password of a WPA- or WPA2-encrypted network, try that to see if it's your computer.
If you're trying to connect wirelessly, most older computers don't have the hardware to do that; plug it in with an Ethernet cable
If you're trying to use Ethernet, try wireless.
