So, I just had some REALLY incredible luck in Zelda: Skyward Sword, and thought of a neat question to ask. What's the best luck you've ever had in video games? I've got a few moments where I've had some pretty damn good luck. :D
The aforementioned luck in Skyward Sword: I opened two treasure chests that contain random treasures. I was hoping for a Goddess Plume and an Evil Crystal. And I got both. BOTH. What are the chances of THAT?
Next, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Ike is rather low on health, and I accidentally sent him in the movement range of a heavy knight carrying a lance (Ike uses a sword and lances best swords in FE). I'm thinking "oh crap, game over" but what did I see instead? Ike dodge the guy's attack, hit him back, then finish him with a critical. Ike wouldn't have defeated the dude otherwise, so I was like "OMG."
I also had incredible luck with Ike in FE: Radiant Dawn once as well. He used Aether four times in three turns, three of which had been done all in a row. I was thinking "holy crap Ike, you really must know I love you!" XD This is really good luck because Ike has a smaller chance of activating Aether in RD than he does in PoR.
Lastly, a couple of Pokemon moments. First was my Gastrodon against Cynthia's Garchomp in Platinum. I wanted to have Gastrodon use Ice Beam. What happened? Quick Claw + Ice Beam + Critical. Woot.
Second happened while I was training a Togepi in the same game. While I messed around with Metronome, it ended up using Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, and Judgement...in a row. I'm damn serious. I was like... "o.o That is one hell of a Togepi."
