Thread: 3DS or 3DS XL??

I have both, and it's the 3DS by a mile. It's comfier in my hands, the screen is so much bigger and nicer, and the battery life is actually superior.

Though I love both, I voted the 3DS because it has a better design and fits in your pocket. Like a handheld device should.

3DS XL since the screen is a lot bigger. Makes the game much more enjoyable and I'm really glad I went for the XL over the regular 3DS. <3

I own neither, but no way in hell am I going to buy an XL. I do not like large handhelds. Aren't they supposed to be portable? The XL models have always seemed freakishly large to me.

I don't want a bigger screen, anyway.

I don't own one as of yet. I figure to buy one (hopefully in a bundle) when X and Y come out. If there are no special bundles then I'll have to shop and compare to see which model I prefer, as I have honestly not had much experience to date with either.

I guess it depends on what yo prefer. Personally, I like the 3DS better because it's a little more portable. The screen is smaller, but that doesn't matter as much as the fact I can carry it in my pocket easier. The software is pretty much the same.

I was hell-bent on buying the regular 3DS because delicious purple, but many experiences with my DS Lite tell me that I'm better off with something larger so my eyes aren't so strained and my hands don't hurt so much after an extended play session (it's pretty cramped). So I ordered the XL.

My irrational hatred for all things glossy may have factored into the decision as well.
