Thread: What's the weirdest soft drink you could find in Japan?

Japan has a lot of weird soft drinks. What was the weirdest you could find?
I have two. I found a drink called "Fanta Genius" It tasted like those icypole Life Savers and made me go hyper. The other one was creme caramel in a soft drink can!

I've tasted canned "oshiruko" (sweetend adzuki soup looking and tasting like thin "anko") sold by many vending machines, and I've even found canned "oden" and canned "mishoshiru".
Canned oshiruko is difficult to eat up because some beans stick to the bottom of the can...
These goods are sold just beside the normal soft drinks such as coke, fanta, and green tea.

oh yeah, I remember seeing some of that canned oshiruko in A Certain Magical Index. I was interested in trying some, but unfortunately, I didn't spot a vending machine that sold them while I was in Japan. The weirdest drink that I got out of those things, personally: apple jelly. I forget exactly, but I think the contents were apple juice mixed in with royal jelly. Doesn't sound too bad at first (albeit, not anywhere near as viscous as I usually prefer my drinks), but the real problem comes from the bottle it's contained in. It was in one of those short, square-shaped bottles, which made the thing almost impossible to squeeze out. -_-

This one's only weird because of its name.

Is oshiruko similar to the kind of drink we have in China called "eight treasures porridge"?

I've seen it before, never really tasted it.

there was this really weird drink i got at a Japanese Market.
it was many types of tea (jasmine, green, etc.) and rice water mixed in. The first drink tasted like flowers (....yes i eat flowers sometimes). After that, the after taste was disgusting and the drink got me sick.

I tried Shiso Pepsi. It's Pepsi with mint flavor. I couldn't finish it since it tastes like mouthwash.

I searched the "eight treasures porrige", and that seems to be between "okayu"（お粥; rice porridge）and "nimono"(煮物; stew) in Japanese. Oshiruko is a kind of "deep sweetened red bean soup" and made of almost only read beans and sugar, and eaten as dessert or snack. Red beans are stuck to the bottom of my can, actually:)
Eight treasures porridge also seems to be delicious!

When I went to Japan I think my class agreed that Pocari Sweat was the weirdest we saw. :P

Palmita: The Krusty Krunch Juice Jelly Orange i once drinked in a Suite Couture Krusty Krunch Festival.

Can't remember what it was callled (partly cause the writing was in Jap) But we have a small supermarket near us that sells that kind of stuff and I picked up a bottle of Lemon Iced Tea, it was....alright...

I think Octopus Ramune tops the list. Never had or seen it in person, but heard about it.
