Mardock Scramble (Director's Cut) [Warning - It's an 18, so things are spoiler tagged for a reason]

The visuals were amazing (did I expect anything less from a movie on blu-ray?), the story was seriously f---ed up, such as

That guy with a vagina on his hand and the guy with breasts all over him?!

. Balot was easily the most likeable protagonist in recent years. I was hooked from the very beginning and I'm really tempted to watch it again soon (this time with the English dub; although Balot's Japanese "voice" is so cute, yet so emotionless at the same time).

The blu-ray case states that it is one of the best films of the cyberpunk genre. I would agree and would go so far as to say that it's one of the greatest anime movies I've seen. I just wish it didn't end on such a cliffhanger, as KazéUK are waiting for Sentai to dub the second film.

My only real complaint would be long wait for The Second Combustion and especially The Third Exhaust. I would mention that it was short, but I'm glad it didn't try and drag on.

I had to go and buy the original novel (well, novels, but Viz combined them all into one).
