Angel Beats! (Episode 1-13)

When I picked this up, I was already expecting something sad because it's written by the same people who did Key's stuff (Clannad, Kanon etc). But even then, I was really moved by the story. It was sad, but beautiful. I liked how each episode had something new happening. With a new development in every episode, I never got bored. It was truly an amazing watch.

The music was also really good. The tracks avoided electronic synths, instead opting for more traditional instruments like piano.

Oh, and the comedy scenes! They were hilarious!

Okay, so what was the point in the last few episodes? Hyping up that Taketo was going to tell Fukune that he's a porn writer, only for her to not understand the innuendos in the song >>. Also, writing "I love you" on a rock that will remain in your room forever doesn't count as confessing. I also couldn't stop giggling like a schoolgirl during the first half of the song xD

To be honest, I thought 1.11 was a bit of a disappointment; it seemed to me like they tried to cram as much as they could in so that when they got to Eva 2.0 it would mostly be new territory for them. I do agree though that Evangelion 2.22 is a gorgeous movie; not only was the animation absolutely superb (especially in High Definition =3) but I found Rei a lot more likeable than she was in the original series.

Now we just have to wait another 2 years for 3.0 xD (Japanese release next year, so US/UK will prolly get it the year after).
