Remember earlier this year when Bandai Entertainment announced that they would stop licensing new titles and only focus on their back catalogue? This was a deep blow for fans of the television anime K-ON!, which saw its first season released by the company. However, AnimeNewsNetwork is now reporting that U.S. anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks has announced the license to the 26-episode anime sequel K-ON!! and the accompanying OVA.

As both Bandai Entertainment and Sentai Filmworks use Bang Zoom Entertainment for the recording of some of their English dubs and Sentai have confirmed that they will be used for K-ON!!, it is highly likely that the cast of Bandai's English dub will reprise their roles.

The series will be released on both DVD and Blu-Ray later this year.
