I never got all the way through PGSM. It was made by the same people who made Super Sentai.

Somewhat true - the two first chapters of the Sailor V manga (those published as chapter 3 and 4 in the collected editions) were the pilot for Sailor Moon. When they proved succesful, they were revamped and reimagined into a monthly series. The Sailor V manga was then also restarted, was given a proper start (the pilot kind of just began in the middle of the story and didn't introduce the concept very well), and then continued, with a new chapter every 4 months or so.
    So.

So the chapter 3 and 4 of the Sailor V manga were the pilot for Sailor Moon. I really did not know that, but thank you for that information.

Yeah - the ones with Pandora and Petite Pandora as villains. They don't waste too much time introducing the concept, don't set up a big, continued plot, and are both rather similiar story-wise. They also introduce a lot of elements that would be reused in Sailor Moon.
Try reading them on their own, and you'll see how well they work as one-shot stories.
    So.

a heads up for you guys:

Funimation posts polls asking "what fans want", on their latest one (I think it's closed now), one of the options was "redub of entire Sailor Moon" series.

by entire, I also assume this means the Galaxia arc will be included.

It's not saying 100% they will do anything, but it appears they have an interest in doing so, and the reaction (on AnimeonDVD) was very favorable to this, so...

Toei won't license the series out to anyone anymore, so I don't see it happening.

This is what I've said, but Funi wouldn't include a series if they could not get it.

I believe Funi has more muscle than we think. They even recently announced they are going to release Sgt. Frog with all of the Macross (dealing with Big West probably makes Toei seem very, very easy) and Gundam references intact. I had no idea that would be possible, but apparently it was.

Not sure how they'll handle Arc 5 with all the gender-swapping, though.

Who else's favorite was Sailor Uranus? She was my idol as a kid.

I like Sailor Uranus. She's just so cool and I'd definitely have a girl crush on her if I met her. My other favourites are Mercury and Saturn. Mercury has always been my fave senshi. I started liking her when I found out that we have the same horoscope sign. :P And I can identify with Saturn most, because she doesn't have a special every-day skill like everyone else has.

I finished Sailor Moon S last week, and I'm thinking if I need to watch SuperS sometime. People have said that that season sucks the most, but I really want to watch Stars soon. Is SuperS necessary for the whole plot?
