I doubt anyone has heard of Mujin Wakusei Survive. Which is a terrible thing because it's a wonderful anime. Too bad I can't find it anywhere anymore.

well, here's part of it.
EDIT: I think this link is legal. It's not a full episode or anything and this is the only episode on megavideo, and unless I'm mistaken we can show parts of tv shows here, so long as it isn't the whole thing uploaded illegally.
I have! Saw the first couple of episodes at a convention years ago, and never forgot about it.
That's actually where I end up finding a lot of anime that no one's ever heard of. I'll have to look though my shelf and find some of the obscure ones and see how recognized they are here.
Can we list manga as well? I've got a lot of really weird ones I could list...
Sorry, you can not add yourself to your own ignore list.

Lessie... I watch a bunch of obscure anime but I have to say that Kino no Tabi (or Kino's Journey) is the best anime that's not very well-known.
It's based on a light novel series. One volume has been released here by Tokyopop, but it seems like they dropped the series a long time ago. It's a shame because it's a great series.
Missed seeing this when I last posted. I know PIIIILES of people who know this series. It stirred up A LOT when it aired. For those who haven't seen the ending, go look it up on youtube. It will make you want to watch the whole series. In short, whoever it was that was making this anime, which is based on a Visual Novel/Dating Sim game, decided to take the BAD ending and animate it. BRILLIANT MOVE, NOT GONNA LIE.
Remembered another something that prolly no one knows:
THE iDOLM@STER: Xenoglossia
... yes I had to go look up the spelling. It's a horrible anime in relation the the series it's based off (THE iDOLM@STER game series), and ruins a lot of the characters defined personalities in the games... on top of the fact it's totally MECHA, and the games are girls in frilly dresses dancing and singing on stage. WAT.

I think I remember news of an Idolmaster anime.
It didn't last very long, I think.
THIS. I LOVE this series.
I'm surprised it's not as well known as it should be, because the concept is great, the story and characters are intriging, and . . . I want it so badly. *saw a complete series set, with both the original and Second Stage* Gah for being broke.
I betcha no one's heard of FF:U (Final Fantasy: Unlimited) . . . I'm not even a fan of Final Fantasy, but I loved this series. (Although it was cut short . . . TT___TT;) Ooh, or Corrector Yui . . . or Magical Girl Pretty Sammy (Magical Project S)? Oh deary me, my love for magical girls and adventure . . .
Flash and Dash. Anyone seen it?
Mitsubachi Maaya no Bouken = Maja, the Bee
^which is one of the MOST popular children´s cartoons in German television. It is from 1970~ but is still running here, there was a GBC game and I think even a DS game some time ago.
Fushigi na Koala Blinky
^ I loved this anime as a kid. The story with the girl´s father was truely sad.
Oh man, Dr Slump was/is great. Still doesn't seem to be too well known.
Anyways, I've only heard of about half of the shows mentioned in this thread so far and have only seen a few. Its always good to start watching some obscure show only to find out its totally awesome. Will have to check out some of these.
Eureka Seven, such an awesome, 'cutesy' kind of anime, but I've never see anyone else thats heard of it.
