That's been around for ages, it's probably part of the international trademarked name Toei is using to try and sell to other countries..... I reckon even if it were being produced, they wouldn't use those names....

And what about my favorite characters, Dorothy and Edwardo? D:

I thought I was going to really enjoy this series when it first started, but the episodes have been so hit and miss that it's super difficult to get in to. I don't mind so-called 'filler' or any similar fluff, but most of these eps have been pretty bland. It's basically gotten to the point where I'm just watching for Airu and Damemon now.

Pretty much watching for any character that isn't Tagiru or the Hideako(?) guy myself. After going from quite a heavy plot focused series in the original Xros Wars to this is just disappointing.

We also so need more Airu and Yuu scenes. Not necessarily shippy but all their scenes so far have been rather entertaining.

Yesterday's filler was rather good, actually. Nazi references (hitler Makoto with Yuu as his right-hand man was priceless) and pentagrams? In MY Digimon? Also Phelesmon was AWESOME, his character definitely worth more than just a one-shot thing, but you know... Xros Wars Hunters... Allergic to having plots that span more than a couple episodes... Also brainwashed Yuu was very squirm-worthy to watch, and I'm glad he's finally getting a focus episode next week (WITH AIRU, NO LESS!) I will even admit Tagiru was a bit more tolerable today and the double goggle-boy action was gloriously animated. But the most annoying aspect of the episode, as it always has been recently is the fact that it WAS just a one-shot thing. What is the point of an Aesop if it's going to only last one freaking episode? And it may have just fallen on deaf ears because it's not like we'll ever see Makoto in any large focus-driven capacity ever again, plus the one-shot episodes stagnate any kind of character development if the episodes are just going to be stolen by Tagiru and the COTD... There is no point to a friendship speech, even, if it's just going to be made to a COTD. It would have been MUCH more endearing had this been an extended plot episode and the relationships among the hunters explored. But no, just... Tagiru gets glorification again while Taiki just sits around and derps at the episode climax. Really disappointing, even if this was the best filler-type episode so far.

Ew, what is this? Those names...what happened to just keeping their names as it is or atleast make them Japanese. Gerry...really? *Blegh* Everything sounds like something that would come from 4Kids or CN. Fusion Battles sounds like Power Rangers-y.

Didn't it take a while for the Savers dub to be announced too?

I like Digimon dubs partially cause they kept the Japanese names and even if they were changed, they still resembled the original names..

But Taiki to Gerry, Akari to Dorothy, Zenjirou to Edwardo, Nene to Nancy, and Kiriha to Carlton?

Hahaha. I don't think so.

And what's with people turning the word "cross" into "fusion"?

You can't name a character Carlton post-Fresh Prince and expect your audience to take him seriously.

I wouldn't put much stock in those character names, considering that (to my knowledge) IMDB seems to be the only source for them. As for "Fusion Battles" - if you don't like it, blame Toei. They're the ones who registered it as an alternate name for the series.

The Digimon Xros Wars Music Code III CD is out today, and has legal samples available on CD Japan:

"Digimon Xros Wars (TV anime)" Music Code 3 Animation [CD]

Track 16 is forever engrained into my mind thanks to that episode. The fact that it sounds like a Paper Mario track doesn't help matters.
