I cosplay quite often, so far I've only cosplayed as Naruto characters, and once as one of my own characters.
I think a friend of mine is organizing a group cosplay for loads of my friends, for when we go to the next Gay Pride.
Does anyone know a good site where there's a good selection of outfits, and are able to be custom fitted?
I once put on a bathrobe and cosplayed as a soul reaper.
I cosplayed once with a few of my friends for a Star Trek convention back in the 70s. We dressed up as characters from the original series. I was Spock. We were the only the ones there in costume. If we hadn't been drunk, we would have been embarrassed.
On the other hand, back in the 90s, I won Best Costume at a Halloween party when I wore it again.
The costume is still hanging in my closet. I just got too big to wear it. And yes, I have an authentic looking phaser, tricorder and communicator I made for the costume.
When I was growing up, I was told never to trust anyone over 30. When I was 30, I realized I didn't know jack squat about the real world. Since then, I've been making up for lost time. Now I'm learning not to trust anyone under 30.
If I had my way, I'd be cosplaying all the time. While I haven't done anything other than some renaissance costuming so far, I'm really looking forward to this upcoming fall. My old college will be doing it's first of that school year's bi-annual conventions, and I hope to have lost enough weight by that point to feel comfortable cosplaying. (As well as hoping my hair is long enough to do Eclaire from Kiddy Grade.)
My May cosplay debut at the San Diego Comic-Con in '08, along with my friend in the Sora costume and some random person we saw walking around. I'm not sure what they are...anyway, spoiler-ed because they're kinda big
