Thread: Anyone here use Lang-8?

I'm just wanting to see how many people here use Lang-8 and if you have any funny stories frome there?? Like any corrections you made or other such things? My account name is noirkyle if you want to friend me.

Whats Lang-8?

Lang-8 is a social networking site based on the idea of learning of other languages through interactions between people from around the world, if I understand it correctly.

I never heard of it, but the best way to learn a language is through interaction with native speakers; however, for me at least, it's far better via verbal interaction than visual/textual interaction. Especially if you're dealing with a language that uses a writing system different from the Roman alphabet...but I digress.

I Like it alot for the grammar aspect of it. I've learned some stuff lately with particles just by having people correct my grammar on there. Also it's helped with my sentence order, it is still kinda hard for me to remember that Japanese language is nothing like English really xD. I really wish they had a audio journal thing tho. That would be really cool I think.

I signed up for it about a year ago and haven't used it since, though I've heard great reviews about it from friends.
