Thread: Is Wii worth buying?

I am not sure if I should post this here.. Anyway, is it worth buying? I am still deciding if I should use my money to buy a Wii or not..

It's ok.
There aren't too many games that are good on it though, sadly.

It's great!

If there aren't any regular games you like on it, you can download old ones on Virtual Console, or smaller ones for WiiWare. :P

I'd say it's my 3rd favorite console behind DS and PS2. :P

Well it all depends on your preferences, I mean if you like the controls, and other things that come with the Wii, then sure. Just to give you what kind of features there are on the Wii, there's the Miis, the photo channel, the Wii Shop channel(Great if your a fan of the classic games, or multiplayer games), also it's also your preference of games, for example there are the normal series that are on the Wii,like the Mario, Zelda, etc series, but if your a fan of Halo or such, the Wii may not be your choice. Really it's your what you feel is what suits you.

ever heard of smash bros brawl? Yeah, it's worth buying.

Hmm.. I am a lot interested in Wii than PS3, basically because of the control.. What I fear is that the games might get boring easily..

Of course not, some games I enjoy on it are (including WiiWare and Virtual Console) - Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflux, Kirby's Adventure, Pokemon Rumble, Mega Man 9, Metroid Prime Hunters 3, Super Mario Bros, among others.

Depends what kinds of video games you're into really.

Well not all the games take 1hr to beat. XD I'm sure you'll find some games to your liking.

Herro, the Wii is a mind controrr device.

Haha yes there are numerous good games, including Pokemon, Metroid Corruption, Super Smash Bros and COD4MW2.

I cant really tell if its worth it or not. My family got ours for $200.

It depends on your preference. I don't have any, but I prefer an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. They're better for shooters and graphics-heavy games, whereas Wii is more family-oriented.

Additionally, a motion-sensor accessory is currently under development for the Xbox.
