Oh man, the entire American Pie series. Almost all superhero movies, Batman, Spiderman etc and 99% of the movies that go by the description 'romantic comedy'.

Avatar: The Last Airbender was just... I could probably think of some others too but that was really awful. Considering how good the show was, such a let down.

Beyond the Wall of Sleep. Rented it thinking it was going to be a good horror film, instead it was boring, and the whole thing was black and white. The only color parts were flashbacks. I was watching it with friends so after a little of the boringness we just fast forward to see if it got good before turning it off. Worst movie ever.

Unneeded sequels for animated films. Shrek and Ice Age are both great, timeless films. The sequels are, however, not. They are clearly just cash ins, it would be forgivable if the films weren't so cluttered with new characters and dire plots.

I actually liked the first two Ice Age sequels (I thought Queen Latifah did an awesome job), but now it's eh...

I feel like the last really bad movie that I saw, where I felt like "Geez, these are a couple of hours I'm never going to get back," was Valkyrie. Horrible acting (especially from Tom Cruise), horrible writing, plus the ridiculously clashing accents, and also even the Wagner references were wrong! (And they could have played something else from that opera other than "Ride of the Valkyries," over and over and over again...)

I'm sure if I really think about it I can come up with more, though.

Hi, I'm Rose. I love music, alcohol, pointless Internet debates and being a snob about my choices in entertainment. I write a lot. You can read some of my writing at Autostraddle.com, the best site for LBTQ women on the Internet, where I am a staff writer. Or the funhouse that is my tumblr. I also write music sometimes, and post the better fruits of my labors on my SoundCloud.

I hate really dumb movies with cartoony bad guys. High school movies are guilty of that. The villains are always either jerk jocks (who always seem to be blond in these type of movies) or bitchy cheerleaders. American Pie tries to lampoon this, but it ends up playing the whole high school movie thing straight.

I also hate the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet - the one where they set it in modern times, yet everyone talks in the English spoken in Shakespeare's time. It is so corny and ridiculous. And normally I like Leonardo DiCaprio; he did bad in this one. And I don't get why Mercutio is black in it. I did like the 1968 version (the one with Olivia Hussey as Juliet), where they actually set it in the proper time period and have accurate clothing to boot.

Uhh this isn't my least favourite movie exactly but it was pretty awful -- Little Man (2006). I only watched like 20 mins but that was quite enough for me. I have no idea how anyone could find that stuff funny.

Documentary's about people like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. There's also Fahrenheit 9/11 which is a conspiracy theory movie about 9/11.

    I lol'd :>

I've seen lots of bad films, but none that repulsed me like a certain film has. "Shock horror" at its absolute worst.
It's so horrific I won't even mention the title. And no, it wasn't Human Centipede. That's small fry in comparison.

More lightheartedly there's also Birdemic: Shock and Terror.

@Fennel; - I've sat through all of Little Man. It is just awful without one redeeming element - avoid!
@mwto; - Yeah it is a conspiracy based on 9/11, and it is obviously biased but Micheal Moore does some interesting points, such as how people benefitted from the invasion of Iraq. I think it's a good documentary, but I wouldn't take everything as 100% truth.
@SageGaga; - are you perhaps referring to A Serbain Film? Haven't seen it myself, sounds absolutely horrible. If not ASF, is it Salo?

@FABuLUSH!; Yes, actually, it's ASF. I absolutely do not recommend letting curiosity get the better of anyone reading this. Whatever message the director intended to convey was buried early on.

On another note, I can't watch the Polar Express because of the uncanny valley.
