Thread: what do you think is the best movie you've ever seen?

Oh, The Dark Knight has to be up there somewhere. Not sure if it will remain in awesome light forever, seeing as we're still reveling in the newness of it.

Animated (in order, not counting Pokemon):
Nightmare Before Christmas
Iron Giant
Spirited Away

Live action (not counting Harry Potter):
Kamikaze Girls
Mean Girls
School of Rock

I'm really digging The Constant Gardener at the moment...I also love Dead Poets Society, Love Actually, The Horseman on the Roof, and Little Miss Sunshine...among others. Many, many others. o.o;

Hm. Best in the one that was world-changing to a young me? Star Wars. Best in terms of brilliance? Pulp Fiction.

I am separating into two categories:

Comedy
1. Strangers With Candy
2. Mean Girls
3. Little Miss Sunshine

HM: Simpsons movie, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Might Wind, and For Your Consideration.

Pokemon the first movie for me.

My favorite movies are not necessarily the "best movies" I've ever seen.

"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," "The End of Evangelion," "Blazing Saddles," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Pineapple Express"

I've seen Howl's Moving Castle more times than anyone has the right to lol. Although Pan's Labyrinth makes a close second.

Those of you who include Pokemon movies have obviously not seen a whole lot of movies, if they're among the "best movies you've ever seen".

and can i give Dexter (the show) an honourable mention? The plot and characters are better than any movie.

Anime:

5. Pokemon ranger and the sea temple

Other:

1. Movie 10 (still XD)
2. Just like heaven
3. Scary movie 4 (LOL!!!, the blue things at the start!)

5. Wild child was good too.

It's hard for me to pick a movie, or even a few movies to be the "best." But if I had to choose one off the top of my head it would be "Apollo 13"

Any of the movies in the original Star Wars trilogy. HANDS. DOWN.
