Thread: Sonic Generations Discussion

Nearly every single preview has rated the console game with positive fervor, with other previewers mentioning that they enjoy the 3DS version even moreso. And since the game has gone on record as being 95% complete since PAX, there's no realistic room for a colossal screwup that could ruin the game utterly.

Metal Sonic? This game is officially a must have.

That trailer... is delicious.

I hate not having a 360 or PS3 now, but the 3DS version looks respectable.

Yeah, don't feel ashamed, because that version looks really, really good. I'm actually getting it, myself.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't a Wii version, but I suppose that's understandable since the console is reaching the end of its life. If I ever get a 3DS, this game looks like a must.

The Wii isn't getting the game because it can't support HD graphics and is less powerful than the other two consoles, not because the end if its lifespan is near. Iizuka has said that reinventing the stages in HD was one of the main priorities when developing the game, and since the Wii can't support it, it was more sound to leave the wii alone and focus on the ps3/360, instead of dividing attention to make a wii-suitable port.

Will there be a possibility for a Wii U port then since it too will support HD graphics.

I lol'd at the part when Heroes was a DC game:

Dreamcast ERA. Dreamcast was in the same generation of consoles as the Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox. Since Heroes was released on those consoles, it falls into that era.
