A lot of the creepier-sounding stuff had a particular idiomatic meaning for the time in which the song was written, particularly the "Say what's in this drink" line that everyone now thinks is about date rape (but at the time, was just an expression that meant "This isn't how I usually act"). But in general, it needs to be viewed in the historical context of coming from a time when women couldn't really be open about their sexual desires, and had to play a game of appearing uninterested and regretful even when they weren't. The point of the song, which a listener at the time would have picked up on, is that the woman actually wants to stay (and the man knows this) but feels like she has to pretend she doesn't so she doesn't appear to be too "easy."

Modern day hip hop & r&b; probably because I view it as a bastardization of what I once knew and loved. Too many songs to count. Garbage artists include: nicki minaj, cash out, rick ross, ect. Most horrible thing EVER. It's to the point I would rather listen to another genre if the radio must be going.
Some of the mainstream music nowadays, I really hate (Justin Bieber, Kanye West, LMFAO etc etc), though I do love some songs of other "mainstream" artists (don't judge me, I don't hate One Direction and other singers - mainly cos the songs I like from them are some of their better ones that are almost never played/aren't singles). I personally dislike rap unless it has some real meaning to it; I hated it the most when it was mixed in with Payphone. I mean, I would've loved the song so much if they just had a piano-fueled bridge. Seriously.
