Thread: Skyward sword gamestop midnight release canceled?

I just called my local gamestop and he told me "they" told the store to cancel the midnight release!

What is this I don't even...

Maybe the number of preorders in your particular branch isn't enough for a midnight release to happen?

Well, I assumed there would be a midnight release, but I saw some other midnight releases being canceled on the internet so I called mine.

This is why you should pre-order video games, from an online retailer. You don't have to deal with this BS, and not have to wait in a line.

When pre-ordering online the delivery may be delayed but that hasn't happened to the only two games I have pre-ordered on the internet and sometimes it might arrive early like I'm seeing that some people in the UK are already playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword which releases tomorrow but that didn't happen to my online pre-orders. I think the midnight release was cancelled because Nintendo seem to only do midnight releases for the consoles one of which I went to which is the first version of the DSi.

I still think it's more convenient. I'd rather have it delivered to me, than to go pick it up.

For me, I don't have to worry about that since I pre-order the game I want at the local Gamestop in Statesboro which is my hometown, and I pick up the game usually the day after or at the release date depending on when the games are shipped in. Since my toiwn is small but its the largest in Bulloch County, GA, we typically have to wait a day since the larger cities like Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, and Athens(Home of the Georgia Bulldog football team. Go Bulldogs!) get the games first, So like Dawn says in the anime, "No need to worry."
