Yeah, I feel bad for Applejack. She's a great character but she doesn't get enough love, both in the show and in the fandom.

Applejack and Apple bloom needs another episode.

Same for Fluttershy. Fluttershy is shy, that's basically the crux behind all of her episodes so far.

They may have one in episode 12 which has the title of Family Appreciation Day and has the synopsis of

Apple Bloom doesn't want Granny Smith to embarrass her by speaking in her class.

This new episode will definitely have Apple Bloom as a main character because of the synopsis. The most recent Apple Bloom episode was "The Cutie Pox" which I took a picture from to use as my avatar until Monday evening. Sisterhooves Social also has Applejack and Apple Bloom as main characters.

The Christmas episode:

- The train from the intro finally has a use for the show
- Derpy being, well, Derpy
- The entire episode is all a play regarding the history of Equestria where it was full of pride, prejudice, and Wendigos (not the ones from X-Men mind you)
- Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie play as the leaders of their respective pony tribes while Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack are their right-handed ponies respectively
- Starswirl the Bearded has been mentioned again
- Song near the very end of the episode

Episode was...interesting. Fanfics to follow.

What? Why are they wowed by Canterlot when they've been there a few times?

Stage director pissed at Derpy, who walks off dejected.

Lots of lore. No mention of Discord or the royal sisters, so that remains mysterious. Discord may, however, control the Wendigos.

Pinkie Pie at her best. She's about to be brilliant.

Applejack's character had the best quips in the episode.

The ending was...rather predictable.

The song attached to the episode was...godawful, honestly. It seemed rushed.

Huh, Discord wasn't referenced at all during the play, interesting.

Speaking of which, there's something that's bugging me about this episode:

Why were Luna and Celestia on the flag if this was apparently before their reign?

Haha, this episode is definitely my favourite of the season. Nice to finally see some Pinkie Pie antics again. I had really missed those. I really hoped she'd get a song though, and all we got was what I assume is Equestria's Anthem.

They definitely chose the right ponies to be the leaders though. They made for one hilarious episode.

Magic.

They were on the flag because it was just a play about something that happened over a thousand years ago, and they just used their modern/current flag in the play for symbolism. It thought that would be obvious.

And I waited so long for everypony to have their own song.

I wonder if this episode took place before the events of "Return to Harmony?" That way, it'll make a lot more sense.

The newest episode wasn't as good as last week's, but that was bound to be a hard act to follow.

I'm feeling all Christmassy now. Why couldn't my school have plays as good as this? I wish the Mane Six would lose their fascination with Canterlot, though; the place is snob-central.

It's about time Pinkie and her crazy antics got more screen-time, my Christmas present has arrived early! I love the argument that broke out over the ownership of a measly rock, a throwback to Rarity's obsession with Tom.

The song at the end wasn't a patch on Winter Wrap-up, but at least we finally know how Pinkie got her Cutie Mark.

Instant 10/10 for world building and expertly handled characterization. 10.5/10 for Scootaloo and Derpy (those funny background moments are always memorable when you see them)

And holy math.

That wendigo thing was actually kind of dark. Personally, I’d rather have Discord’s world over the eternal winter. (I wonder if they also ate the frozen ponies themselves, like a real wendigo would)

And between the chimney, the map, and Dirtville, all coupled with Applejack's snark and previous episodes' cake assaulting and party cannon, Pinkie is officially my new favorite. So chaotic.

And now we know. The series's setting is ridiculously friendly on purpose, lest the world become Pony Hoth (have fun terraforming, Celestia).

So yeah. Really nice fairy tale (if not a bit cheesy). How it relates to the holidays, other than the cold, I’m still not sure (then again, Adventure Time did the same thing: character development first, theme of togetherness at the end)

Aplejack must be popular in my country.

Our local McDonald's had no Applejack dolls left I will do anything to find.
