Yeah, even if you're someone who regularly gets lost on websites for hours, you don't understand just how bad TV Tropes is. It will ruin your life if you let it.

(Also, don't start getting really into editing, like, going beyond just adding your favorite TV shows or books when the trope calls for them, and actually getting really invested in particular pages. Because their edit wars can rival Wikipedia's in stupidity and pedantry. I speak from experience.)

TV Tropes irritates the smeg out of me. I'm sorry. ;p

Although mlp makes for perfectly decent casual viewing, I've never made much of an effort to engage with the wider fandom. The occasional comments on these pages is about as far as I'm willing to take it.

At this point that's probably a good thing. From what my friends tell me who are more engaged in the larger fandom, it's kind of gone downhill since the end of the second season - mostly because it seems like there are either more unpleasant people in it, or the ones who are there are a lot more vocal.

I think the poll is just supposed to be the Mane Six. Adding every pony, including background ponies like Lyra, would make it endless.
