I love Granny Smith, but tbh I'm getting kind of sick of Apple Bloom. I like her and all, but I feel like we've been seeing way too much lately. Let Sweetie Belle or Scootaloo have a turn for once, or better yet, one of the mane six who hasn't gotten an episode to themselves in a while, like Applejack (especially Applejack).
I think Applejack will have her own episode in The Last Roundup which airs in 8 days and has the synopsis of "Applejack disappears and the friends set out on a journey to find her."

I recently watched Luna Eclipse, and I gotta say, Princess Luna is pretty awesome.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
Pinkie Pie's long-waited episode:
- Mr. and Mrs. Cake have babies
- Crossbreeding is now canon (one's a unicorn, and the other's a pegasus)
- Pinkie Pie is offered to babysit the babies, but she's gonna learn that it's harder than it looks
- Pinkie Pie refuses help from her friends because babysitting is her responsibility (Serious Pinkie Pie is serious)
- The babies have learned how to use their abilities (let chaos begin)
- All this chaos led poor Pinkie Pie shedding tears until the babies cheered her up
- Looks like this issue wasn't enough to revert her back to her alter ego
I'll be expecting a lot of Heavy and Vicky jokes.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
This episode was one of my least favorites this season :/
Pinkie Pie is one of my favorites, but idk, the baby ponies were just straight up creepy. I thought it was a nice portrayal of Pinkie's character, wanting to play rather than be responsible, and I am glad she learned her lesson because I think that's all something we can relate to in one way or another. But overall, I think the baby ponies just really crept me out too much for me to enjoy the episode fully XD; And uhhh, how are they able to learn magic and fly so early? O__o The end was cute though, when they said her name.
Idk, I just didn't enjoy this episode as much as I have the others in season 2. Maybe it was just because last week's was so awesome XD

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
This episode was pretty decent. The babysitting nightmare episode, I think it's common enough to be a trope. Maybe it is a trope? Wouldn't know. Pinkie Pie was cute as always. I loved how the episode ended, and what I loved even more was the small part Twilight had. She totally deserved to be shoved outside after what she said :P
I was kinda hoping for a bigger Pinkie Pie song though (a lullaby perhaps), but I guess I'll just have to be happy with these short ones, which are kinda cute too.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
I don’t like these kinds of plots. I don’t see the appeal in babysitting troubles taken to unrealistic levels for the sake of humor. Actually, I just don’t like babies, period.
[SPOILER]So, horns and wings are recessive, yet two whole cities are made up of almost nothing but them…
Yeah, not buying it.
The babies are totally Pebbles and Bam-Bam, only even more superpowered. Sure, real horses can run within hours after birth, and I can understand a “mana leak” of sorts with young unicorns, that they may unconsciously emit magic, but not control it.
But self-levitation and phasing? Unconscious or not, I could imagine it draining any adult other than Twilight and the princesses, the most magical beings in the show's mythos.
The other one… I said it already. Bam-Bam with wings.
I'm guessing everypony ever has those powers and learn to control their powers as they age. And once they have their cutie mark, they're limited.
Sorry for all the text.
Oh, and calling it despite the implausibility: Those two are main characters in G5. Them, the CMCs, and a sixth Earth foal, all grown up. And Twilight will be the new princess of dusk.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
I may be in the minority, but this is hands down my favorite episode of the season. I love Pinkie Pie to pieces and she was just fantastic in this episode. The babies were really cute I thought, and I loved Pinkie's little songs and stand-up comedy show and everything. It was just a super cute episode filled with laughs IMO, and I easily think it's the best of the season so far.

Straight hair is recessive, yet we have a whole continent comprised almost completely of straight-haired people.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
Finally, it's about time Pinkie Pie got her own episode again. Even though the basic plot was a little cliche and predictable, a mixture of classic Pinkie silliness and another look into her more serious side is just what I've been asking for. I hated how condescending Twilight acted towards to her. I decided Twilight was my least favourite of the Mane Six not too long ago, and this scene only strengthens that notion. Good thing Pinkie was able to hold things together and prove her wrong.
The babies were adorable, especially at the end. I reckon Pinkie would make a wonderful mother. Bring on the obligatory future episode! I also loved the Alien and Resident Evil references. (Assuming Pound Cake on the ceiling was alluding to a famous scene from the second game. I could be completely wrong)
Overall, a very fun episode, but I'd expect no less from my favourite pink pony.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
This episode was similar to Stare Master in season 1 and it wasn't one of my favourite episodes but I still like it and think it was a very good episode. Pinkie Pie said that twins are 0 years old, I like this statement because it is true and not many people say that children are 0 years old and shows that there should have been a year 0. I also like the part when the babies escaped from the crib and Pinkie Pie searches for Pound Cake. From this episode it seems that ponies are able to wear watches and unicorns can make themselves levitate therefore Rarity may not have needed the fake wings in Sonic Rainboom and here is a picture of them:
This is also the 1000th post of the thread :)

Baby Cakes was worth the wait, but not an episode I would watch over and over again.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
Wait wait woah woah woah, hold the phone! The new episode aired today? Jesus, my circadian rhythm has been so messed up ever since my dad passed away. In any case;
Note: Rainbow Danger Dash and Pinkamena Responsibility Diane Pie. RD Dash and PRD Pie. Going by one's initials is badass. >:D
I quite liked this episode. I was smiling through the whole thing. I don't know why, but it reminded me of the olden days (from a going-on-fifteen-year-old's perspective, anyway) of stuff like SpongeBob SquarePants and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends that I grew up on. I don't know, really. The jokes, the situations, the zaniness of it all, the motifs, it reminded me of randomly turning on Cartoon Network when I was maybe eight or nine. Plus the fact that Tara Strong is in freaking everything I watched back then in some way or another
I was hoping for a little more from the other mane six, but I've said for a while now that I wanted a Pinkie episode, and by Celestia I got one. I liked it quite a lot. It reminded me a little bit of season 1 as well. :D
EDIT: Oh yes, and I loved the part near the end where the kiddies pour flour on themselves to cheer up Pinkie. x3
Very nice episode.

In retrospect, they didn't show them a whole episode, but I doubt a lot of them would be willing to watch it. Better to convince them than force them. I think there were a couple kids in the group who said they wanted to check it out afterwards, which is cool. I also liked the people who were indifferent towards it.
