Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the similarity, though I thought Celestia was a cross between Cynthia and Arceus appearance wise.
Well yes she is. But her personality is alot like Cynthia's and Rosalina's. Of course her appearance is alot of Arceus and Cynthia's. Arceus due to her being equin like Arceus is and Cynthia like meantioned above. It would be kind of neat though if there was a Celestia centric episode and at one point she is trying to figure out which ice cream flavors to get like Cynthia did in her first debut DP episode in the anime. That would be a nice nod to Cynthia.

I have looked up that opening, and that opening makes it feel like I'm watching a fucking anime. Horrible. I'm glad all other dubs (and the original) just stick to the standard opening.

Finally, the three-week hiatus is almost over; I doubt I could've waited much longer. The episode airing on the 14th is one I'm especially looking forward to.
Pinkie babysits the Cake's twin toddlers. More Pinkie Pie = a happier me.

I can only imagine how this will turn out. But yeah, I stated a couple weeks ago that I wanted another Pinkie Pie episode. I like episodes that mainly focus on one character, but prominantly feature all the mane six, like an ensemble of supporting characters. I'm hoping these net few episodes cure my ponies withdrawl nicely.

The Last Roundup is of course the episode I'm waiting most for.
I think the writers was reading my mind.

I almost forgot about the three-week break (some fan I must be)
I was waiting for this, the freaking greatest pony parody series ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1uUa8lUIJE
I like dark humor, so I consider this a bit better than the original. Everything just fits in so well, and the acting is great.
And I'm happy that there'll be more Pinkie soon. Maybe it'll get her back on top as favorite (currently it's Spitfire :ohdear:)

Granny Smith & Applebloom episode:
- Magical apples that grow from thunderstorms (Surely Thor must be pulling the strings)
- Ponies in bunny suits? Blasphemy!
- That witch Tiara caused Applebloom to be embarrassed of Granny Smith's actions
- Family Appreciation Day seems to be Ponyville's version of Parents Day
- Congratulations, Applebloom, you're the new Sweetie Belle
- Granny Smith is best soldier, maggots!
- The Cutie Mark Crusaders try to stop Granny Smith from coming to Family Appreciation Day but failed miserably
- New member of Applejack's family revealed
- We now learn that the zap apples, Granny Smith, and the rest of Applejack's family are the reasons Ponyville came to be
- Everypony is wearing bunny hoods (Majoras Mask reference?)
- No letter to Princess Celestia this time, along with the rest of the mane 6 (We could've see how Rainbow Dash would react to the zap apples' rainbow colors)

^As awesome as that would sound, I highly doubt it.
Applejack's parents weren't referenced in this ep, and that makes me even more curious about what happened to them D: Yay, Doctor Hooves cameo
So, according to Granny Smith's flashback:
Ponyville is only a few decades old, since the Apple Family founded it when Granny Smith was a filly.
Zap Apples originated in Everfree.
Timberwolves (as in, literally made of wood, from what I saw) live somewhere in the Everfree Forest.
There's also a bit of a "Mythology Gag" in this episode:
The Apple family founded Ponyville roughly three generations ago, making the Mane Six part of the fourth generation.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
For some reason everything from Granny Smith's youth looks like the middle ages. But who cares, it's a cartoon, it doesn't have to make sense :P
This episode was very cute. I don't really have much more to say about it. Also am I the only one who noticed that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon have become generally nicer since their first appearances?

Well, Silver Spoon, maybe. But Diamond Tiara hasn't seemed to change that much.
Overall, a very sweet episode, and I love the backstory we get on Ponyville.

In her first episode all Diamond Tiara could do was bully Apple Bloom every time they met. In this episode she has normal conversations with her, and she doesn't even poke fun at the fact she's wearing a bunny costume. I'm not saying she's nice, I'm saying she's nicer.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
I think DT was nicer because 1) she wasn't with her friend, and 2) her dad was there.
It was a nice episode. Best part was the backstory, defs.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
Oh my god, this episode was great.
I was worried that it wouldn't live up to my bated expectations and dissapoint me, but boy did it deliver. What it lacked in comedy, it made up for in sheer giddy charm. And the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Can't go wrong with them.
I don't have much to say other than that I loved this episode.
And also, inb4 "and that's how Ponyville was made" jokes.
Fantasmical episode. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Why did I not learn of Friendship is Witchcraft sooner?! It's flipping hilarious! I mean, Jesus, it made a Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? reference.
