I'm pretty late in saying this, on account of having had no internet access for the past two weeks, but I wanted to pay my respects to Philip Seymour Hoffman. He was a greatly talented actor, and this is a very sad loss. :(

    Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!
Ghostbusters actor Harold Ramis dead at 69

Egon Spengler: I have a radical idea. If the door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
    Peter Venkman: How?
    Spengler: We'll cross the streams.
Venkman: You're gonna endanger us, you're gonna endanger our client. The nice lady who paid us in advance before she became a dog.
Spengler: Not necessarily. There's definitely a very slim chance we'll survive. [team ponders]
Venkman: I love this plan! I'm excited to be a part of it. Let's do it!
Winston Zeddmore: This job is definitely not worth eleven-five a year!

It might be late, but I need to say this: I will miss you, Mr. Ramis. I can only hope you're telling everyone in the afterlife about the Twinkie and collecting some new spores, molds and fungi.

I was stunned this morning to learn of The Ultimate Warrior's passing. He was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last weekend, and appeared on Monday Night Raw just 2 nights ago, and to me he looked fine with no cause for concern. I was too young to remember his matches before he retired, but after watching those matches later I realized how amazing he was and has become one of my favorites. He's one of a kind, and my thoughts are with his family. RIP Warrior.

    Farewell, Mr. Valiant.

Bob Hoskins, best known for his role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? as the cynical, Toon hating detective Eddie Valiant, has passed away at the age of 71. This comes two years after his retirement from acting due to a Parkinson's diagnosis.

To me, this is crushing. The man had true talent--he made you believe that there was an actual cartoon rabbit talking to him--so to hear that someone of his caliber is gone hurts. Far, far worse? I never had the chance to tell him what his work meant to me. All I can say now is this: You will be missed, Mr. Hoskins. And thank you.

Ann B Davis (who played Alice Nelson in The Brady Bunch) has died at the age of 88 after a fall in her bathroom (Vale: Ann B. Davis | TV Tonight).

Heard about that last night and it rather shocked me. I may not have been the biggest fan of The Brady Bunch but she was pretty memorable.

So long, Ms. Davis. It is a poorer world without you.

A sad day for fans of British comedy - we are now without Rik Mayall (aka Rick from The Young Ones and Flashheart from Blackadder).

Terrible news, Rik Mayall has always been one of my favourite comedians. The Chess episode of Bottom is the funniest thing television has ever produced.

    Who is this git?

So sad about Rik Mayall, The Young Ones and Bottom will always be two of my favorite shows. I'd hoped that Rik and Adrian would reunite for another series of Bottom, I know Adrian wasn't convinced about it but it may have happened. For a while I had a bit of a crush of Rik, so funny and charismatic, I bet he would have been a cool dude to know. RIP. The country loved you <3

I've never been genuinely sad about celebrity deaths, at least not until I heard about Rik Mayall. Spent all of last night watching the Young Ones, this sort of genius never loses its charm.

    RIP man, comedy hero.

even in their last moments, the branded still belong to the dark.

Rest in Peace Casey Kasem, who did the voice of Scooby Doo and Norville “Shaggy” Rogers in Scooby Doo between 1969 and 1997 and again between 2002 and 2009. He also did America's Top 40 (Vale: Casey Kasem | TV Tonight).

I remember him best as Cliffjumper from the G1 Transformers cartoon and as far as I know, he never made it to a BotCon. There's a missed opportunity there, as with so many others.

    A rather sad day, indeed.
