As a MakoxBolin fan, I loved the scene with the two of them in their cell! I just know there'll be a lot of fanfics about that! And of course there'll be a couple of BolinxLin fanfics too, for that zipping up the fly bit.

Anyway, amazing episode! I knew Tarrlok wasn't Amon!

Oh my God...this episode...I CAN'T...I CAN'T EVEN. I had a feeling Naga would be the one to find Korra.

I'm glad that Tarrlok had his bending taken away, although I wonder how Amon resisted his bloodbending.

Now I'm really curious about Amon's secret, and I really wish this season would've lasted longer with filler episodes to show more of the main supporting characters such as Lin and Tenzin.

When I say this episode I was literally left speechless.

Somehow I knew Torrlok was evil, don't ask me how weird stuff like that happens to me. But Amon just gives me more questions. And don't forget Naga :)
This episode gives a lot of debate on who will end up with Mako, Korra or Asami?

it'd be pretty amazing if Amon resists Korra's avatar state, like how he resisted tarrlok. somehow i don't think Amon will be defeated that easily (just a feeling)

Amon, you absolute monster. Yeah, bloodbending is probably painful as all hell and completely bends your enemy to your well - unless you're Amon, and therefore tough as shit.

There's definitely some air of untapped potential surrounding Amon, I think. I can't imagine what it is, but I really don't think we've seen the full extent of his abilities. I mean, hey, we haven't really even seen him get in a proper one-on-one fight yet, have we? I could be wrong, but he just seems to take their bending away before they can do anything or run away & let the other Equalists handle things.

Blazaking EX, thanks for the banner, you rawk.

I couldn't stop smiling when Sokka talked about his trusty boomerang and how he defeated Combustion Man with it.

I love how Toph still called Aang twinkletoes.

Yeah, this flashback scene made me remember why I loved Sokka. :P

Sokka's most memorable funny scene has to be him on cactus juice though, lol.

I realized that this show would be better if it wasn't based on previous source material. Right now it is wildly inconsistent with ATLA. It has become apparent that Aang is much more skilled than Korra, but the fact that she has never entered the avatar state in desperation like Aang has is a problem.

Likewise, we don't know how she's progressed as a bender. We have seen almost nothing about her airbending progress since she went though the obstacle course thing. She has performed poorly when fighting against the equalists, requiring significant help. We're at the end of the season and these issues need to be resolved properly. That's pushing a lot to the end of the last two episodes. I'm getting the feeling that the production staff don't really know how to make a good miniseries.

To be fair, Korra isn't exactly like Aang. Aang had to master all the elements while Korra doesn't have that pressure and can take her time. Plus, she's growing up in a post-war world, and doesn't need her powers to fight off armies and soldiers at any given second like Aang did. Sure she has the equalists to deal with, but she is largely left alone due to Amon's plots to gather more supporters for his cause. Training is good and all, but if you don't have many opportunities to fight your enemy, then you'll have less experience.

And part of the air bending involves the spiritual side of the Avatar. We saw that last week when she had visions of Aang (which have been hinted at throughout the series). This could probably be a great stepping stone to mastering air bending. Lastly, there is a second season after this. It is entirely possible that all issues won't be resolved until next season.

There's still the big inconsistency with the Avatar State. Aang used it numerous times as a defense mechanism when he was young. Korra not ever entering it wouldn't really be a problem had this precedent not existed.

Even though she isn't doing constant battling, we haven't really been given any hints regarding her bending progress. All we've really seen is her either struggling against equalists or prevailing (as she did in the last episode) due to good thinking.

Who knew Tenzin's children could put up such an unexpected fight against the equalists, and was that Zuko near the end? A shame that this season will be 12 episodes rather than 13; no wonder fillers are a necessity.
