I enjoyed this episode very much! Tons more questions come up than answers being solved. I have my own hypothesis on the Tarlock, the visions of Aang, and whatnot. But I'm going to wait a bit more before I make my predictions on what/who/when all this stuff is going to go down. XD

Tarrlok
Nearly everyone who posted about this episode, including myself, has spelled this wrong.

I loved this ep. Team Avatar is the new Bat Family. All of Tenzins kids are insane. Tarrlok once again proves he's a ginormous d-bag, showing that the politician can be just as bad as the extremist. More Aang visions! Overall a great episode.

Crazy episode. It felt weird that they just suddenly became team avatar and started doing superhero crap together. But the fight scene was sick. Korra fought Tarrlok only using earth and fire; she didn't even attempt to use the fountain behind him. She totally hates water bending.

Re: The Last Airbender:The Legend of Korra
My thoughts on episode 8:
There was just so much awesomeness (not in any particular order): Ikki telling Asami about Korra liking Mako, Asami's moment of jealousy/suspicion in the car, car chase scene, Korra kicking Tarrlok's ass, Tarrlok bloodbending without a full moon, Meelo just being Meelo, Tenzin telling the new chief "but you are the worst," Korra's new vision.
There was also some cheese: the whole pep talk Asami, Mako, and Bolin gave Korra (I rolled my eyes lol), and the "Let's ride" scene.
And once again, we have to wait a whole week to see what happens next. It's hard to believe that Book 1 is 2/3 of the way over already D:
@jernflap;
I don't necessarily thinks she hates waterbending. I mean, if I had fire, earth, and water at my disposal and my opponent was a waterbender, I probably wouldn't use water (I think it would be the easiest for them to defend against, it being their own element).
I do think fire most closely fits her personality though xD

Could you imagine if the break was happening next week? I think we'd have all gone mad with suspense :P
I really liked this episode with the fighting going on, and of course, Tarrloc being an arse. I'm sort of looking forward to Tenzin panicking over Korra's disappearance...

My thoughts for episode 8:
My god was this an amazing episode!
For one, I loved the interaction between Korra's friends and Tenzin's kids, especially Meelo.
I gotta chuckle at how Ikki suddenly burst out to Asami that Korra liked Mako, and Korra and Ikki's faces afterwards were very... humorous.
I also loved the chase scenes (also, Asami looks like she's becoming suspicious/jealous of Korra and Mako's interactions). Seems like they're protecting the city more than Tarrlock.
Speaking of Tarrlock... yeah, he's a jerk. Seriously, arresting people and accusing them of being Equalists JUST because they're non-benders? Korra's right, HE'S the type of bender Amon is so against.
And that fight scene... wow. I could clearly tell just how angry Korra was. She really seemed to go all out, and gave Tarrlock no mercy. Really, I was beginning to wonder if she was going to go into the Avatar State at this point. (I almost thought she was going to end up killing Tarrlock...)
And then... WOW. Tarrlock turns out to be a BLOODBENDER? Even without a full moon? WOW... and Korra's vision... Aang and friends are DEFINITELY in trouble.
And Korra's being taken away from Republic City?! And her friends have been arrested, too! Wow. This episode was crazy... it'll be tough waiting for next week's episode.
Over all, I LOVED this episode. A definite favorite of mine so far.

You can tell the animators had a blast making these scenes.

That would be just plain evil lol
I am really thinking that Tarrlok is apart of the Red Monsoons. I think that name may actually come from the ability of its gang members to blood bend. Benders like Tarrlok really make me have more empathy for the equalist. Though Amon is an extremist, I'm starting to believe that he isn't really evil, and is more akin to this series version of what Zuko used to be like.
Another cool flashback scene, shows Yakone somehow immobilizing everyone in the area, including Toph, Sokka, and even Aang. Maybe the guy that Aang took down was a bloodbender, and a politician who wanted to seize more power just like what Tarrlok is doing right now.
As for everything else, another fantastic Korra episode as always. Loved seeing Korra kick Tarrlok's butt, and I hopefully next week we get to see Tenzin do the same.

Re: The Last Airbender:The Legend of Korra
With the confirmation that Zuko is traveling the world, I wonder if Korra's forced removal from Republic City will lead to a meeting between the two of them.
Having achieved inner peace within himself in the first series, and being friends with Aang and understanding how he lived from both a friend and a former foe standpoint, Zuko could make a fine candidate to help Korra along the way to embracing the spiritual side of being the Avatar.

Wow, I never would have thought that Tarrlok is a bloodbender! I felt a bit sad seeing Sokka, Toph and Aang in that flashback :'(
I wonder what he's going to do with Korra...

I absolutely love this new season, especially Bolin. I'm so glad that they have someone like Sokka, but of course, nobody could ever replace Sokka~

Speculation time: Maybe Korra's removal from Republic City is a way for the story to take place outside of Republic City for a while, like a lot of people want. Seeing Korra travel by herself for a while after she inevitably escapes will be nice.

Possibly, but its only going to be for one episode (two at the most) that she would be outside of Republic City, since I'm expecting the season finale to be a two-parter and it isn't that far away.
Maybe she'll meet someone during her time outside the city that will help with her spiritual block.
