Gamespot gives TLoZ: Skyward Sword a 7.5

They think it's the same Zelda game. No. IGN gave it a 10.0! Famitsu gave it a 38(?)/40! And it's obvious that Gamespot never even played it.

GAMESPOT:

Guy 1: Ok, let's review TLoZ: SS!
Guy 2: Meh, too lazy, let's just look at it.
Guy 1: Yeah. Looks terrible. Let's give it a 7.5.
Guy 2: To inform that CoD: MW3 is better.

What do you think of this. Now, they did say that to give the best playing experience when playing Skyward Sword! But this score is dissapointing! I mean, 8.5 should be for Skyward Sword, and MW3 should have 6.5! Anyways, what do you think.

I agree. Gamespot must be biased against nintendo and possibly never played a zelda game. I would take Zelda, Pokemon, and Mario over COD any day. Shame on them in my opiniion.

Gamespot never gives Zelda games near perfect scores as if they were bias.

I never understood getting pissed at a rating if you're going to buy and end up liking the game anyways (and plenty of other people are going to do the same).

It's their opinion, not yours. So live with it. Seriously, I never take game ratings by any website, and play the game myself to see how I like it.

For example: Kirby Air Ride. Shitty scores around the board, but I loved that game to death (And still do).

I'm pretty sure they're not biased upon Nintendo...Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart usually get pretty decent scores overall by Gamespot.

1. Skyward sword has multiple 10's and 9's already. Literally nobody cares about gamespot's review except for you people.
2. The reviewers are different people. It's not 1 person writing all the reviews. One person can give out higher ratings than another, hence why CoD could receive higher ratings than skyward sword.
3. "It's obvious they never played it?" Some people in life will not agree with everything you think. Deal with it. Just because they give it a lower rating than you think it deserves doesn't mean they "obviously" never played it.

I'm in the who cares camp. If you're going to buy the game anyways, reviews made by other people shouldn't matter. As for me, I know I'm getting Skyward Sword. Why? I love Zelda games. In my opinion, none of them have been bad games. So I'm going to get Skyward Sword and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it.

And it's the same thing with CoD (the example you used as a counterpoint). I don't care that it has high reviews. Why? Because my roommate has had it pre-ordered for months. I don't need to buy my own copy because we play his. And that's a damn good game too.

Basically reviews are out there for people who are on the fence on whether or not to buy a game. If you've already made your purchasing decision, get Skyward Sword and have a blast playing it. It's going to be great.

Famitsu are hardly reputable to quote for scores. I remember @Dogasu writing a piece about the Black and White score they gave and the likely basis behind it.

You guys must know that one single opinion will change other people's views on a certain subject, even if it's a popular website. Brawl, and bascially any Wii game, is being bashed because of Yahtzee's review and IT is being bashed because of the Nostalgia Critic's review. I fear Skyward Sword will soon get bashed because of Gamespot's review, alongside of the unpleasable Zelda fanbase.

Yeah, yeah, Gamespot are ignorant bastards and hate Nintendo games. Just read this review of Skyward Sword from dedicated Nintendo fans if you're that annoyed. I wouldn't trust any Nintendo game reviewers without an 'N' or 'Nintendo' in their company's name.

The OP makes me laugh. Getting butthurt about one solitary site not giving your favoured franchise a better rating while showing obvious bias against Modern Warfare 3.

People still listen to GameSpot? But, seriously, you shouldn't let one review get your "underwear in a bunch".

GameSpot's opinions on games are very biased anyways, it's obvious they never played the game at all because it didn't have a fancy M on the corner of the box.
