I hear a lot of people say that the books contain much deeper characters and the shows miss a lot of cool stuff out. But comparing S1 & 2 to the first two books, I don't see it really. I haven't read the third book. I got bored since each book is gigantic and it's pretty much only 10% more information than the show. In my opinion anyway.

    Ok, next actor: Jack Nicholson?

Personally, it's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest :)

A great film, but not quite as great as Easy Rider or Chinatown.

That's refreshing. Most people i've asked always say The Shining, which I have quite a few criticisms about.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is my favourite Nicholson film too. Though I do also like The Shining (sorry Crackfox).

Fun fact: Robert De Niro claims that, after watching The Shining, he had nightmares for a month. (My reaction: this film gave MAX CADY nightmares? Hardcore.)

The only film ever to give me nightmares, oddly enough, was Easy Rider. I was very disturbed by the ending the first time I saw it, and it later came back to haunt me in my sleep. :p

Well on my end I wasn't able to sleep for like two days after I saw the Ring, though I probably shouldn't have seen it at 10 xD; especially since I get scared easily.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I love The Shining. I just think Nicholsons' preformance wasn't all that great and it didn't really resemble the book.

I can't imagine anything scaring De Niro xD

The first movie that gave me nightmares was the Evil Dead when I was about 4. Yeah, I know. I had irresponsible brothers :b

It's a really good film. I'd never say it wasn't, but yeah, from a nerds point of view, I can see its faults.

    Next actor: Tom Hanks

    I'm gonna say Cast Away.

If you're a fan of The Shining, then I recommend you check out Room 237 (if you haven't already done so, that is). It's a feature documentary about the various symbolisms people claim to have detected in the film, which include everything from subliminal erections to alleged confessions that Kubrick helped NASA fake the moon landings(!). And it was made by Rodney Ascher, aka the man behind that short film about all the children who were scarred for life by The S From Hell.

As for Tom Hanks, my favourite film of his is honestly Big.

I haven't seen that! It sounds interesting. I'm still baffled by the ending, i'll "check it out" :b

    Big is really good film.
