Exactly that would have been better timing

I also agree with you on different singles for areas. You and I might work as the final single but if it was next, it'd do fab in the US but not asweel Europe and overseas. Scheibe is the one that'd smash Europe and be moderate hit in the US.

    also.....

It may be what everyone thinks of themselves as, but I consider myself to be an absolutely dead center, normal average American. You'd think my experience growing up, going to school, serving in the Army, getting married, having kids, buying a home, would make me perfect if Hollywood was looking around for an average American male.

The things I write and read on television are for regular, normal, average, everyday Americans, I mean like myself. Or so I think.

My question then is this: If I'm so average American, how come that I've never heard of most of the musical groups that millions of other Americans apparently are listening to? I've heard of Sting and The Rolling Stones, but someone sent me Billboard magazine and I looked at a list of the top 200 performers and nobody I know is on that best seller list.

The singers I know have been replaced by performers like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Usher. I mean who? They are selling millions of songs by singers that I've never heard of and that must mean I'm out of the American mainstream and definitely not average. I know age is the obvious divider, but age doesn't separate Americans in other areas.

We all like comfort, beauty, ice cream, a sunny day and a win for our favorite team.

Why should our tastes suddenly diverge when it comes to the sound of music?

I think of myself as a musical ignoramus who doesn't hear or like the nuances of sound that other people hear and do like.

I don't know who Lady Gaga is and kids today probably don't know who Ella Fitzgerald was. Maybe we should call it even.

    Interesting...

either way, I wish she had at least one or two more singles from The Fame ("Boys, Boys, Boys", and "The Fame") to last it until late 2009. "Bad Romance" is released in the spring, and then we the singles from Monster we got. Then, in July, "Dance in the Dark" is the 4th single, "Speechless" as 5th in October, and "Monster" as final and 6th in January. Then we get what I wanted in the BTW era.

Although Speechless is undeniably a fantastic song, I think it would flop MASSIVELY as a single.

It's a type of song that stays on the album and appreciated by people who buy albums than singles. Like diehard little monsters. I think I came to agree Dance in the Dark is similar. Although it has critic praise and comments on youtube, I know that no matter how fantabulously, mind blowing, ass spanking magical, (more made up words) it would flop.

Lol that sounds sooo strange from me xD

I know how much I say DITD is one of her best blah blah blah but I can just tell it's not as erm....let's say marketable and instant like the others.

Like I always say DITD is better than Monster but single wise Monster would have been a bigger smash than DITD and Alejandro, maybe even Telephone.....

An example of a song this era like Speechless or DITD is Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn maybe and Electric Chapel. All good songs but not appealing to mass market sort of issue xD

God, put on political/economic Milo lol

Then again, you never know how she could promote it. Like if say, Britney held on to "Telephone" and released it with her type of promo, it would be like top 40. But with how Gaga promoted it, it got to #3 here in the US. With the way Gaga promotes, DitD could have been a top 5 hit. Maybe not "Speechless" though

Also, how would you think BBB and TF would do?

    I love both songs.

Boys Boys Boys would be a definate top 5 hit. The Fame is one that is a bit tricky. I think it's really good but she shouldn't release it as I think it would have peaked outside top ten. Beautiful Dirty Rich is better single wise than TF.

Though Starstruck,, I like it but not as much as if it was released how much success it would get. It could get anywhere top 3 - and good chance number 1. I wouldn't personally see it number 1 though. It's because I could see Rythmic supporting her over there in America as well as the other radio stations.

tbqh, I think TF was to get her famous, TFM was to show off her creativity, and BTW is the first true package of music we got.

    Well that's what everyone thinks.

    Me...well I like being a little odd

    TF - Gaining recognition

TFM - Strengthning fans, increasing sales and making icon status

BTW - Making controversy and evolving

    Monster era should've ended
earlier. She could have ended the Monster Ball in July, release "Born
This Way" in November 2010, and the album and "Judas" in February 2011.
Since "Born This Way" already had it's 3 months of promo, "Judas
probably would have more sales, and possibly had gone to top 5, maybe
even #1. "Since "Judas" is successful enough, "The Edge Of Glory" is
seen as just a success for a promo single. "Marry The Night" is released
in May 2011. "Hair" is then released in August 2011. She lets fans
decide the next single, where "Scheiße" is released in December 2011.
"Government Hooker" is the sixth single, released in March 2012. She
then, for the seventh single, releases either "Highway Unicorn (Road To
Love)" or "Heavy Metal Lover" in the US, "Bloody Mary" in the UK/Europe,
and "Americano" in Latin America/Australia, all in June 2012. Having a
change of heart due to the songs initial success, and how much is means
to her, "You and I" is release in September 2012. To end it with the
best, she releases "The Edge Of Glory", in December 2012. This would've
all complied with the albums projected two years of promo.
hmmm that is an incredibly good marketing assumption and i wouldn't be surprised if GaGa does what you say. However you never know if she has a brand new project/follow-up to Born This Way within the next year.

OK, let's pretend it's late 2008, because this album is fucking amazing.

Have any of you heard of that new singer, Lady GaGa? I like her songs "Just Dance", and her new one, "Poker Face". She just released her album, too!

What do you think her next single will be???/
