I think being a metal head helped me get into so much different music.

Happy music - pop music, house
    Angry music - punk, metal
    Dancing - house, trance
Head bobbin music - techno, jazz
Sexing music - Hall & Oates

I'm an alt-rocker at heart, so I kinda introduced myself to a bunch of different genres. xP

I'm not even sure what I am.

A music lover, as generic as it sounds.

Now, to get back on topic, anyone listening to metal?

I haven't listened to any metal today, but I might listen to Black Sabbath's Paranoid later tonight.

Metal is my angry music too; there's always something about For Today and Impending Doom that makes me want to curb-stomp Satan in the ovaries...

Do you think Satan would have ovaries? Or were you just creating a nice image for us? :P

Not anything I can recall at the moment. It seems a lot of groups I like all just released new material in the last couple of years. :P

I keep track of every band I listen to and all their releases, so brace yourselves. I already got Demon Hunter's 6th (True Defiance, got it the day before it came out), War of Ages 5th (Return to Life, came out on my birthday so I bought it as a present to myself), To Speak of Wolves' 3rd (Find Your Worth, Come Home), and A Hope Not Forgottens 2nd (Homeward).

I don't own but have enjoyed Impending Doom's 4th (Baptized in Filth), Altars 2nd (Conclusions), Before Their Eyes' 4th (Redemption) For Today's 4th (Immortal), The Burial's 2nd (Lights and Perfections), Convalesce's 2nd (Consequences), Gideon's 2nd (Milestone), I, the Breather's 2nd (Truth & Purpose), Mychildren Mybride's 3rd (eponymous), The Overseer's 1st (We Search, We Dig), P.O.D's 8th (Murdered Love), See the Light's 2nd (Tepid), 7 Horns 7 Eyes' 2nd (Throes of Absolution), Wolves at the Gate's 2nd (Captors), Write This Down's 2nd (Lost Weekend), and Your Memorial's 3rd (Redirect).

And I'm awaiting As I Lay Dying's 7th (Awakened), Becoming the Archetype's 5th (I Am, preordered), Conviction's 1st (I Am Nothing), Disciple's 10th (O God Save Us All), For All Eternity's 2nd (Beyond the Gates), Inhale Exhale's 4th (Movements), Letter to the Exile's 2nd (Make Amends), Texas In July's 3ed (eponymous), They Charge Like Warriors' 2nd (Still Searching), and Trenches' 2nd (Reckoner, so much uncertainty about its release though). Also, when I was hanging out with The Great Commission at Scream the Prayer this year, I asked them when their third album comes out. Angela, their guitarist and backing screamer (what a twist), said they were aiming for a Winter 2012 release, so I'm hoping there.

@Dread Advocate; Now that's dedication haha!

I don't have any future metal releases to anticipate.

Well, Machine Head, The Agonist, and Hellyeah have had albums out within the past six months, all of which I love. I'm not really anticipating anything right now, though. I'd like to see a new album from Slayer, AC/DC, or Metallica, but nobody seems to know when that will happen. However, Megadeth has started pre-production on their next one and apparently Anthrax is in the writing stage of things, so I guess there's still something to follow.
Crack some heads for me, darlings. Thank you, and good night.

I am looking forward to the next Megadeth CD too :D Most bands I like have released CDs lately though, so I dunno what else is coming out soon :O

I just got Nile's newest CD and also (plugplugplug) a CD by a little band called Kaine. They are really good, have a search for them and check them out :) (I am friends with the bassist, lol) :P Also I would like Rhapsody's new CD that has just come out too.
