It's my favorite grindcore song because two seconds of grindcore is all I can take

I can take even longer, but when it is too long or more songs after each other, it becames boring.

(that´s why I always use shuffle on music players and have several genres in playlist)

I agree, listening to the same specific genre constantly can be kind of tedious.
Crack some heads for me, darlings. Thank you, and good night.

This. Most days I'll listen an album from a genre and that will do for the day, I like to switch it up.

I can listen to one genre for quite a while. But when I'm on my iPod, one minute I'm listening to death metal, the next classical, and then electronica after that... It's freaky.

It is not freaky, it is quite amazing.
(Even when I am a bit scared because after some calm pieceful song starts playing death m. or similar and I wasn´t expecting it :D)

Just for clarification, this thread applies to the umbrella term for metal, you guys won't be the douchebag elitist metalheads I've dealt with who all say, "If itz not from the 70s or 80s itz not metal and it suckz," correct?

Good god, no. The majority of metal I listen to is actually from the '90s and 2000s. Actually, the majority of music in general I listen to is from those decades.

I assume so, i started a little discussion about grindcore, so i think it just a general extreme music thread.

This thread's for everything, really. And it's pretty obvious that a lot of bands are still doing real metal now, so we're not elitist about it.

Oh, good. Thanks for the clarification.

Most of my favorite bands are on the extreme side, and most bands I listen to are Christian (a personal choice). Only four of the eighty-five are debatable on their status. My top fifteen favorite bands are Red; Demon Hunter; Oh, Sleeper; Becoming the Archetype; For Today; War of Ages; The Great Commission; We Came As Romans; Sleeping Giant; Impending Doom; Serianna; A Plea for Purging; August Burns Red; I, the Breather; and As I Lay Dying.

    Metalheads you say?

    I'm in.

Though I probably like different metal than you guys do.

Share your favourite bands, I'm sure that there will be some crossover between the different users here.

I'm not a metal head, nor really into metal, but I like metal here and there.

My personal favorite of those is As I Lay Dying, although I'll admit that I haven't listened to a lot of the others.
