Thread: The Big Four Of Thrash Metal (Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer)

I consider it a travesty there wasn't a thread dedicated to them already.

So... to begin the discussion... what do you guys think of Worship Music?

I'm not a metalhead. At all. But out of those four, I'd probably pick Megadeth. 'Course, my opinion as an alternative rock freak should probably be taken with a grain of salt when judging which one really is the best. :-P

All opinions are welcome. I think they're all excellent. My personal favorite is Metallica, but it doesn't win by much in the end.

Like all except Anthrax, but that's only because I've heard the song "Fight 'Em Till You Can't" (which is fucking awesome) from them. Guess I have to listen to more of their stuff.

You should. I'm Alive is fantastic. Persistence of Time and Worship Music are their best albums (in my opinion).

I can't decide if Megadeth or Metallica are my faves :P I saw a Big Four cinema show in 2010 and it was really great :) I do wish that the bands would get together to do some more Big Four shows.

Yeah, same here. Even just two of them together would still be awesome.

And apparently Megadeth's already pretty far along on their fourteenth. I'm starting to get excited.

Seeing Dave make a little smiley face is kinda funny.

I liked TH1RT3EN, I want to see what this new album is like. >:D

I like Megadeth the most, Rust in Peace is a fantastic album. Shame that Dave is a complete prick. Ah well.

I want to get the new Megadeth album when it comes out :) I have heard there's supposed to be a new Metallica album coming out next year too but I don't know very much about it.
