Thread: Individual RP: Ketamine

Chandelure was making a mess of my team; its ability to block attacks while losing minimal health is what I have been searching for, a sturdy yet powerful Pokemon who can be used in all situations. Kingdra was just about to release its jet of black haze to Chandelure but was caught off guard when Chandelure just floated there tauntingly waving his lamp hand left and right as to taunt Kingdra into attacking it. Kingdra was agitated and Chandelure’s taunt had worked, things had started to crash down even harder than it seems.

"This cannot be good," Alpha suddenly told himself.

I could hear Alpha even though he was near whispering. I thought to myself how would I be able to weaken Chandelure without any non-attacking moves, it still had its unusual purple aura whisking around it along with a coat of acid armor protecting it from any physical moves. This would be a test for Kingdra but my with some smart thinking and Kigndra’s diverse movepool of physical and special attacks I should be able to weaken Chandelure enough to put it to sleep, though Chandelure had the unpredictability factor and it could pop out any surprise attack and catch us off guard.

“Think Khun, think!” I said to myself, “I need to weaken Chandelure, its aura and amazing defenses needed to be broken one way or another, so Kingdra prepare yourself for an all out assault!”

Kingdra wasn’t a Pokemon to be known for its great strength, it was more of a bulk Pokemon which can take hits and presume to survive so it could dwindle the opponent down to mere health but Kingdra also had the ability to sweep entire teams off their feet with its Dragon Dance combo, its most powerful moves included Outrage and Hydro Pump, giving it great type coverage but also great coverage in the aspect of attacking the opponents defense or special defense. Not only is it offensively great but its defenses allow me to inflict status and change weather to my advantage although right now Kingdra is close to useless with it being under the taunt. I had to figure out what to do and fast before Chandelure is able to damage it.

“Wait a second, Chandelure lacks any real sort of damaging attack in its movepool,” I said as the something big has just hit me.

I quickly whipped out my Pokedex and pointed to Chandelure again, the Pokedex registered with a small beep as the screen turned on to reveal a stock photo of Chandelure. I pressed the small red buttons on the Pokedex to direct me to the moveset of Chandelure, it was a Ghost and Fire attack and most of its moves are of fire type. This match now turned into my match, fire does 1/4th effectiveness on Kingdra due to its typing and with its defensive bulk Chandelure would not be able to damage Kingdra at all with fire attacks. Although the flaw of this defensive mindset was Chandelure was also ghost type and that was normal effectiveness against Kingdra but even with this strange aura powering Chandelure it should not be able to do much damage at all.

“That’s it; I’ve got to play this by my strengths and not his.” I turned to my Pokedex again to check the moveset of Kingdra and its extra moves it possessed.
It had a wide variety of water and dragon typed moves. Chandelure was fire type so it would ultimately be weak to water; its defenses are high but not high enough to be able to fully endure a hit of my same type attack bonus. This is it; I’ve got to hit Chandelure with a move that will really hurt it, a water move.

“Kingdra, listen carefully. Chandelure must be expecting a physical hit now since it has taunted you to attack but understand that physical hits are not always the right choice,” I slowly instructed Kingdra.

Physical hits against Chandelure would be a waste of time; it has already shown to have the ability to evade physical hits with moves like double team to raise its evasiveness. I had to hit it with a special attack, something out of its own books. I was then made aware of the strange purple aura around Chandelure again and realized that this special attack will not be full power due to the fact of the aura protecting its vital flames inside its body but this will have to do for now, until Haze is at the ready I need to hit it, switching to another Pokemon will be just as useless as it could just Taunt again or even worse, hit my incoming Pokemon which has lowered its defenses with a powerful attack.

“Kingdra, you need to channel your inner mystic water and raise all your mental power to produce this attack,” I shouted, “Dampen this damned environment with Surf!”

Surf, the most common water typed move available to water Pokemon. It has the power of a move like Thunderbolt yet it had the attack radius of a move like Earthquake, being able to hit all around him.

Kingdra started to churn the massive amount of water needed to pull of this attack, due to this humid environment Kingdra will be able to absorb the water vapor in the air and then turn it into water using its amazing homeostasis system in its body. Kingdra was about to blow as its stomach bloated to gigantic size, it released all the pressure within and a huge wave of blue sparkling water lit up the cave. I could feel the coolness of the water when the water gushed out of Kingdra’s mouth, it felt like a cool breath of air just ran down the back of my neck. Kingdra then jumped ontop of the 4 meter high wave, surfing the wave like a professional surfer riding the rips. It was intending to crash the huge volume of water right onto Chandelure, this was do or die.

Chandelure BP#4

"Kingdra, listen carefully. Chandelure must be expecting a physical hit now since it has taunted you to attack but understand that physical hits are not always the right choice," Khun started to think through his commands. Alpha began to realize that Khun was starting to get even more serious than before--he's really dedicated to catch that Chandelure. "Kingdra, you need to channel your inner mystic water and raise all your mental power to produce this attack,” I shouted, “Dampen this damned environment with Surf!" he added.

"I wonder how this would end out." Alpha stepped backwards and came closer to the cavern mouth.

Kingdra was already preparing its stomach to release tons of rushing water from its mouth to launch it towards Chandelure. It bloated and released the water with all its might. It was directed to one of the walls at the cave when the rushing water rebounded to form a massive wave. Kingdra rode the wave smoothly as it was launched directly to the stagnant Chandelure.

Alpha could feel something vibrating from within Chandelure's body. While the wave was approaching Chandelure, its magma-coated body started to fade away, revealing a black chandelier-like Pokemon that was continuously turning red. "It's gonna burst with flames sooner or later," Alpha noted. As Chandelure's body turned reddish, the blue flame inside its transparent glass-like body went stronger and turned to red as well. The flames on its hands turned to red as well, as if it was going to explode at any moment.

The wave was quickly approaching, Chandelure had to counter it with its specialty. It pointed its four flaming tips at Kingdra until a large fire ball formed in front of it. The ball turned into a strong fire wave that went its way to overcome Kingdra's Surf. What's amazing about this Chandelure was that its body began to glow with another purple aura, connoting the increase of strength on its special skills. Using Calm Mind while Overheat was being used was the greatest tactic for a wild Pokemon to do.

Soon, the flames and the water had finally came in contact with each other. It turned into a huge amount of steam that stayed inside the cave, slowly heating up the cave in the process. Alpha just had to leave to get some fresh air. He's pretty sure that both Pokemon were affected of the sudden blast of steam inside the cave.

Kingdra’s surf didn’t work as planned, throughout this battle it has seemed like if Chandelure has been one step ahead of my moves, planning his attack and defenses almost perfectly. Chandelure just countered Kingdra’s surf with a massive over burst of fire; the flames were erupting from all around Chandelure’s body. The fire met the massive wall of water, the water was vaporized immediately and a massive amount of steam was emitted from the two stationary blobs ahead of us, I wasn’t sure what happen as the steam clouds started to float its way over to me and Alpha. The steam’s heat could be felt even 5 meters away, the steam was hitting my skin and the condensation of the steam into water could be felt bubbling on my skin, the liquid that formed was hot and sticky so I had to run far from it.

I could see Alpha already near the exit so I followed him with my hand covered on my mouth to prevent steam inhalation to protect my throat. I could hear the two Pokemon also moving to our direction. After running towards the cavern mouth I could taste fresh air again, although the cave was humid and dry the weather outside was no different, it actually was a bit hotter outside than inside due to the sun shining onto me while outside.

“Kingdra, hurry come outside and make sure Chandelure follows!” I mumbled with my hand over my mouth.

Kingdra could been seen tussling with Chandelure as the two Pokemon emerged out of the darkness from the cavern into the bright shining lights of the plains of Mt. Deckbi. It seemed like Chandelure has lost a lot of energy in the Overheat attack and has also partly damaged Kingdra. Kingdra had seared marks across its body from the heated steam produced when the wall of water hit Chandelure. Chandelure also seemed damaged with its flames not burning as bright as it was before, it was inevitable that some of the water from Surf must have hit it, after all it was a fire type and fire has such a blaring weakness to water.

Chandelure was then seen again closing its eyes to notion it was starting its meditative procedure, the purple aura grew larger around Chandelure as it focused its inner energy to raise its lowered special attack and to raise its special defense even higher to prevent Kingdra from hitting it with another powerful Surf attack. Chandelure now had a comprehensive set of defenses around its body preventing any huge damage from Kingdra.

Kingdra was still agitated from the taunt received via Chandelure. It needed to release its anger at Chandelure and another attack should do it before it snaps from its rampage of attacks.

“This could be my last chance to do some damage before I start clearing up the field” I said to myself.

Kingdra reared its head to blow a heap of steam up into the air; it seemed to have absorbed some of the steam from the Overheat into its system and had to let it out. The steam automatically condensed to water vapor in this humid environment. Chandelure seemed a lot less energetic since the beginning of the battle, after so many turns it has taken a beating while only giving off 1 mildly successful attack. I had to take this to my advantage, I have three Pokemon while Chandelure only has himself, I need to utilize all three if my Pokemon accordingly to dwindle Chandelure’s health down to critical zones and then I should be able to capture it no worries.

“Kingdra, pace yourself” I saw Kingdra panting a little bit, probably just lack of air at such humid temperatures, “Remember we have a team of three with us while Chandelure only has himself to cover, we need to ration our energy to fully utilize our power and make sure Chandelure is working hard to for its attacks, we can’t continue to let him meditate and power up while we just stand here like sitting ducks.”

Kingdra seemed to understand the situation given as this massive seahorse Pokemon started to calm down. It slowed its breathing and started to see clearly again, this battling was ours to lose now.

“Alright let’s get some variety into our attacks!” I shouted, “Start off with a Waterfall attack, remember to target its physical defenses this time, it won’t expect us to be so close ranged to attack it physically and it shouldn’t have enough time to react but keep in mind of Protect, if it Protects I want you to use Dragon dance, remember this taunt he has placed on you, you need to snap out of it as soon as possible so we will have access to our full potential and our full powers.”

Waterfall, a physical water move, again chosen to target Chandelure’s weakness to water attacks and its vulnerability to defend from them. Kingdra didn’t have any sources of water around him so it had to create its own. Kingdra absorbed the water vapour from around the air and started to bloat up like a big balloon. The aim of Waterfall is to eject a huge amount of spiraling water while the user was encased inside it, making the user almost protected from most attacks; it also gives plenty of time for the user to select another move as Waterfall has a high percentage of flinching the opponent.

Kingdra’s big bloated stomach then gave in and a huge spiral of clear blue water spiraled, the enthalpy of formation for this attack required a lot of energy due to the positive and negative ions of the formed H20. Kingdra was then able to spiral inside the water and barrel roll inside towards the direction of Chandelure, if this hit then Chandelure would almost have to flinch, its low energy levels and downed health made it vulnerable to this sort of attack.

Chandelure BP#5

"Kingdra, hurry come outside and make sure Chandelure follows!" Khun quickly went outside until Kingdra followed. While Chandelure was making its way out of the cave, a shining white orb was starting to form above its body. While it was reserving enough energy, it followed Kingdra outside in the meantime. Its magma-fied body was one thing that was visible under the sun's rays. When Chandelure was out, it tossed the shining orb towards the sun, giving it more power to heat up the place.

"Sunny Day," Alpha whispered to himself, hoping that Khun might hear what he said.

"Kingdra, pace yourself." Alpha can hear Khun talking to Kingdra softly. "Remember we have a team of three with us while Chandelure only has himself to cover, we need to ration our energy to fully utilize our power and make sure Chandelure is working hard to for its attacks, we can’t continue to let him meditate and power up while we just stand here like sitting ducks."

"I wonder what he's up to," Alpha wondered. Chandelure was already preparing its second stage of its attacks. It charges up enough sunlight to attack using Solarbeam.

"Alright let’s get some variety into our attacks! Start off with a Waterfall attack, remember to target its physical defenses this time, it won’t expect us to be so close ranged to attack it physically and it shouldn’t have enough time to react but keep in mind of Protect, if it Protects I want you to use Dragon dance, remember this taunt he has placed on you, you need to snap out of it as soon as possible so we will have access to our full potential and our full powers," Khun finally commanded.

Kingdra suddenly bloated and prepared itself to launch a huge spiral of water towards Chandelure. Then, Kingdra rode the waves and made its way towards Chandelure. Chandelure, on the other hand, glowed with a white color and launched the beam of sunlight towards Kingdra. Another miniature explosion was made. The sun was intense enough to make some parts of the water evaporate, weakening the attack in the process. But Alpha was sure that enough damage was dealt to Chandelure--eventhough a part of Kingdra's health was lost in the process.

The sun was now brightly shining down as Chandelure shot beams into the sky to form the already bright day into a Sunny day. This move would amplify Chandelure’s fire attacks aswell giving it enough energy to release Solarbeams whenever it felt needed.

Chandelure then started to charge a strange yellowish-green beam from its body, the speed that it formed was amazing and it was directed straight at Kingdra. Kingdra was still spiraling down the jet of water to hit Chandelure with Waterfall. The beam that formed in Chandelure’s mouth was now travelling towards Kingdra’s Waterfall attack, the two attacks collided to form another miniature scale explosion, the Sun evaporated some of the water but both Chandelure and Kingdra seemed to be injured in that collision of raw power.

The bright Sunlight was bothering not just Kingdra, it had a detrimental effect on me. The sun made me start a sweat and it was fastly draining my energy and my will to think properly. Kingdra’s taunt was as good as over, he seemed calm and ready to battle once again, and with my full arsenal of moves I will be able to weaken Chandelure enough for the capture.

“Kingdra, your taunt should have worn off by now we now have access to your full movepool, this is your time to shine!”

Kingdra was now pumped up, broken free of its initial taunt from Chandelure. Kingdra was now moving side to side in anticipation for its next move. Chandelure could also been seen but its movements have been slowed and it looked very rigid, the fact that it was fighting three Pokemon along with a Legendary means that its energy usage must be off the roof. Kingdra was now moving around rambunctiously, it seemed to be unruly in its movements as if it has had a big surge of power move through its body.

“Kingdra use Yawn, the trick to this move is to fully engage the opponent into yawning along with you so try your best to engage its consciousness,” I said to Kingdra.

Chandelure was trying its best to not make any eye contact with Kingdra, already knowing what affects Yawn could bring onto it. Kingdra darted left towards Chandelure trying to confuse it into thinking it was launching into another attack, Kingdra was not renowned for its dashing speed but it had enough to out speed Chandelure. Chandelure had its gazes fixed on Kingdra’s smooth movements while preparing itself for another defensive stand against Kingdra’s attacks.

The two was now standing face to face around 2 meters away from each other; Kingdra raised one eyebrow as to taunt Chandelure into attacking. Kingdra then released a loud yawn hoping to drag Chandelure unconscious after becoming drowsy to that yawn. The yawn seemed to float its way over to Chandelure as Kingdra waited for the after affects of this attack.

“Good work Kingdra, get back abit so it can’t surprise attack you!”

Kingdra then darted back to protect itself from Chandelure’s attacks, being at such close range could mean that Kingdra could get burned from Chandelure’s fire moves, the sun would intensify fire types moves due to the same type attack bonus.

“Alright Kingdra, it looks weakened and I think this would be the perfect time to use Brine!” I knew that if Chandelure was just faking its injuries then Brine wouldn’t be as effective, Brine is a water based special move which deals the opponent double the damage if their health was lower than half, the salt crystals from the Brine would infect the opponents open scars to produce even more pain than being hit with a jet of water that would be compacted like a brick house.

Kingdra readied itself for the move, Brine required Kingdra to create salt crystals inside its stomach which it would then infuse into the jet of water which then would be propelled at massive speeds at the opponent, it had a high chance of hitting along with Kingdra’s skill and precision in performing this move.

The Chandelure waited for Kingdra to act. The stomach of Kingdra started to bloat again, thinking about it, Kingdra would had to have a big stomach to be able to fixate all the water it needed for this attack. It then reared its head to give the jet of water more velocity to the power of the attack, Kingdra blew down hard to ejaculate the huge amount of salt infused water directly at Chandelure, if Chandelure wanted to move it had to act fast!

Chandelure BP#6

"Kingdra, your taunt should have worn off by now we now have access to your full movepool, this is your time to shine!" Alpha looked at Khun. He looks positively sure that the tables would begin to turn at this point. At least, that's how Alpha thought it would be.

"Kingdra use Yawn, the trick to this move is to fully engage the opponent into yawning along with you so try your best to engage its consciousness." Kingdra nodded silently when it opened its mouth widely enough to release pink bubbles that slowly floated its way towards Chandelure. Just seeing theses pink bubbles made Alpha yawn in return as well. He knew what the others said: "Yawning is contagious. If you see someone yawning, it will make you yawn as well."

Chandelure could already see its own reflection on one of the shiny pink bubbles, when one suddenly bursted in front of it and made it drowsy. Alpha couldn't see Chandelure's emotions through its magma body, though he can tell that its eyes wanted to sleep already. But it had to fight its drowsiness in the meantime.

"Good work Kingdra, get back abit so it can’t surprise attack you!" Khun said, as Kingdra slowly backed off and prepared itself for attacks that Chandelure might do.

"I wouldn't be so sure of your victory with Yawn," Alpha noted.

He was right, suddenly, Chandlure crept slowly towards Kingdra, the flames it released became stronger a bit. It thrusted one of its candle-like arms at Kingdra, until a white beam of light shot out from Chandelure's back and rammed Kingdra on its back as well. Some of Chandelure's pains seemed to be transferred to Kingdra, while some of Kingdra's energy was transferred to Chandelure.

"Brine," Alpha said in a soft tone.

"Alright Kingdra, it looks weakened and I think this would be the perfect time to use Brine!" Khun commanded lastly.

While Chandelure can still fight its drowsiness, it pointed all of its flaming arms at Kingdra until a flaming orb formed in front of it, readying itself to toss the Flame Burst towards Kingdra. The blue dragon, on the other hand, bloated once more until it released an average amount of rushing water towards Chandelure, although the sun was hot enough to dry most of the water out. The Flame Burst had came into contact with the Kingdra's attack as well. But Chandelure's attack wasn't enough to penetrate through the rushing water, therefore it was backed off to one of the trees behind Alpha, sleeping peacefully thanks to Kingdra's Yawn.

Kingdra was in all sorts of pain after being hit with Chandelure’s pain split. Kingdra arched over backwards after being hit with the beam which brought an instant crippling pain throughout Kingdra’s body, the pain shot up and down its large frame making it feel the pain that it has caused Chandelure.

The yawn that Kingdra had unleashed against Chandelure seemed to have hit its mark, with Chandelure being lured and even Alpha gave off a slight yawn. The taunt did cripple Kingdra into a limited movepool but now it is able to fully compete with all of its weapons. We needed to give yawn some time to work its magic so Kingdra had to be on both the defensive and offensive side for the following turn.

The Brine that had been ejected from Kingdra’s mouth seemed to be travelling straight towards Chandelure, with its health now over half full due to the Pain Split attack, Brine would not be as effective, though due to its Fire typing and Brines water typing it would still be a handy move to deal some damage after it recovered some health due to Pain Split.

Chandelure was now bracing for another water attacking heading straight for it, it pointed its candle lit flame arms at Kingdra, readying itself for another attack. A small bright red burning orb started to form on the tips on all of Chandelure’s hands, the orbs became about the size of a soccer ball before they were deployed directly at the Brine. The sun was able to evaporate some of the Brine and I could now taste a bit of salt around my mouth due to the water being evaporated to just Sodium Chloride and steam. The beams from Chandelure’s hand were able to stop some of the water but it was still hit with the Brine. Out of nowhere an extra flaming orb was shot directly at Kingdra, he was unaware that through the steam another flaming orb had been formed and released. It hit Kingdra directly on the chest, you could smell seared Pokemon as it started to burn Kingdra’s outer layer of skin and luckily Kingdra was able to shake off the attack before letting it combust into a major burn.

Chandelure was now seen wobbling and shaking as it stumbled towards a nearby tree, under the shade it could finally give in to the Yawn and fall asleep. Kingdra was now seen lurking slowly towards the tree to take advantage of this sleeping Pokemon.

“Alright Kingdra, it is fast asleep!” I shouted out, “Now is your chance to use Haze and eliminate all of his stat changes!”

Kingdra lumbered towards the tree as it inhaled a large gust of air, its large belly extended once again and started to churn. A strange but heard before gurgling sound started to echo from Kingdra’s belly, you could feel the atmosphere was changing as Kingdra took a few seconds to finish churning what was inside his giant stomach. Kingdra then widened his mouth to breathe out a thick black smog that covered almost the entire height and width of the tree that Chandelure was sleeping behind. Chandelure had almost no chance of escaping from that attack, even if it woke up, the time that the smog floated and consumed the tree would be more than enough for Chandelure to breathe in the toxic smog that cleared all stat changes.

“Alright good work Kingdra!” I had to praise Kingdra as he has been battling Chandelure for the most and has taken some critical damage during the time, “Take this opportunity with its defenses down and its stat changes off to use Surf on Chandelure!”

Surf was a great choice of move, depending on the nature of Chandelure and its training in the wild, a special attack which targets Chandelure’s special defenses also with the excellent typing of water and will be able to deal massive damage against this Fire type.

Kingdra took another deep breath as it readied itself for another long few seconds of creating a huge gush of water in its relatively small stomach. The massive amount of energy required for this attack needed the full will and concentration of Kingdra. You could see a huge lump arise from Kingdra’s stomach and it slowly moved upwards towards the throat of Kingdra. It pulled its head back and then released the huge amount of water as it gushed across the plains of Mt.Decbki towards Chandelure. Kingdra then hoped on top of a massive wave and was hanging ten across the rip. The tree that Chandelure was sleeping on would surely be broken in two by the massive force of this wave, Chandelure wouldn’t be able to hide without atleast taking some damage and now without its defenses, Kingdra should be able to fully penetrate Chandelure with its attack.

Chandelure BP#7

IC:

"Alright Kingdra, it is fast asleep! Now is your chance to use Haze and eliminate all of his stat changes!" Khun finally got the right moment to launch a perfect assault at Chandelure with all its might. Kingdra came closer to a nearby tree, trying to grab hold of its breath until it finally released that huge amount of air towards the sleeping chandelier. A strong black smoke came out from its nostrils, slowly melting away Chandelure's magma in its body, and the flames on the tips of its arms suddenly weakened up a bit.

"Amazing." Alpha's jaw dropped in amusement. He couldn't believe that Khun was finally starting to strategize completely. He thought that this could be one of the last turns of Chandelure as a wild Pokemon. Any moment now it could be captured and obtained by Khun.

"Take this opportunity with its defenses down and its stat changes off to use Surf on Chandelure!" Khun added.

Kingdra suddenly bloated and filled its body with water. After it was done, it blasted a huge wave of spiral water towards Chandelure. The wave was a big one when it rebounded on the cave's walls and turned into an even more large wave. Kingdra jumped and rode the wave, eventually reaching Chandelure. Trees looked like they can be swallowed wholly by the tide, and the magma could merge with the water at any momemt. Luckily, none of those things happened. The wave splashed and damaged Chandelure as Khun had perfectly planned, one with no flaws.

"You're thankful that Chandelure is still asleep." Alpha managed to hide someplace safe. Peeking out when he knew that the time was right.

Chandelure could wake at any moment now, being hit with two attacks and still being under Yawns effects is very rare. Kingdra would have to act fast if it wanted to make a last effort attack on Chandelure before it awoken. The Haze has perfectly setup Kingdra to now be on the offensive side of the battle; with its moves now hitting with full power Kingdra will be able to further damage Chandelure before making it available for the capture.

The environment was now a bit dampened as Kingdra’s Surf washed away much of the dirt and debris from the floor, the tree that Chandelure had once hid and slept against was now broken in half due to the massive force of the Surf attack. Yet after all this wreckage Chandelure was still sound asleep, its flames were dampened and started to fade as its health was whittled down from continuous attacks from Kingdra.

“Heh, Kingdra you’ve been very good, it is almost time to finish this battle,” The battle was now almost over, Chandelure was still fast asleep and Kingdra could possibly be able to hit it with another move before it wakes.

Chandelure was seen washed onto a nearby patch of grass after the Surf splashed onto it like a gigantic Tsunami. It was still sound asleep snoring loudly as Kingdra prepared itself for another attack against Chandelure. With its health looking to be seemingly low an attack like Brine could now force Chandelure to critical health, with its health declining faster and faster this would make the capture very easily.

“Alright Kingdra, take a few deep breaths as I can see you have used a lot of energy and need to settle your heartbeat before you continue on with another attack.” I instructed Kingdra to slowly recover from this excited state to save energy just in case Chandelure had some extra tricks up its sleeve that it has hidden.

Kingdra stopped its movement for a while taking a few deep breaths while just enjoying the water rushing past by its tail, the overflow of water was from the Surf attack and it needed a place to all drain out, it started to flow into a small crevasse a few meters down the hill side. The Sunny Day that Chandelure had cast seemed to be over now with the sun being a bit cooler now that the clouds have returned to cover us.

“Alright Kingdra, try and use Brine again to Chandelure.” Repeating this move would be crucial as it could be just enough to take Chandelure down to the critical zone which would make its inevitable capture a bit easier, the salt infused water would seep into Chandelure’s wounds and make its suffering even more prolonged.

Kingdra stopped its resting state and started to work up the energy to produce this attack. The sweat drops coming down from his forehead could be seen, this battle has certainly taken its toll on my entire team not to mention the toll it has taken on myself. Battling is not an easy job, having to move around in this wild environment to escape from harm and to command your Pokemon takes a big chunk of power out of you. I needed a small escape, just something to re-energize myself so I could continue on for the rest of the day.

“Gosh, what a hot day this has turned out to be. I’ve read about Mt.Deckbi having a punishing climate but I didn’t think it would be this bad.” I turned to Alpha, I could see that he himself had a few sweat drops rolling down his face just from watching this battle, “You should probably get a drink, here, I’ve bought a couple extra for this trip.

I reached around to my backpack and from the first pocket on the side I grabbed two cans of Red-bull. This should certainly pull me through this battle and after all this hard work from Alpha to accompany me I thought why not treat him to one as well.

I handed Alpha a can of Red-bull as we both simultaneously opened the can with a decisive “click”. I tipped the edge of the can into my mouth. Just having the cold liquid run down my made my day a whole lot better under this sun.

Kingdra was steadying itself to attack this defenseless Chandelure again. This time Brine would be hit with full force as Chandelure would not be able to regain any health during its sleep. Kingdra outworked stomach started to churn again, the salt needed to be infused with the water for this attack to work. A large watermelon sized lump started moving up Kingdra’s belly to the top of its throat. Kingdra leaned forward this time to increase the range of the attack and blew out a spiral clear blue jet of liquid. The liquid was travelling fast at Chandelure and was going to hit directly unless Chandelure could awake and move out of the way.

“Very good work Kingdra, Chandelure could now wake any second now and launch a last effort attack, remember to never underestimate a corned and weakened enemy as they are the most dangerous!” A corned wild, enemy Pokemon is the most dangerous to any trainer; they are naturally, scared out of their wits and would try anything to escape from danger. Especially with a high caliber Pokemon like Chandelure, we can’t underestimate it even though it is weakened.

Chandelure seemed like it was starting to wake to its senses after that attack. It has now been sleeping for quite some time and looked like it was about to wake and unleash all of its rage after being attacked countless times without any defenses.

“Alright Kingdra use Bubblebeam to drop its health down to near death zone, make sure to control the amount of bubbles to account for Chandelure’s health, we don’t want it dead we just need it weaken enough for capture.”

Kingdra nodded, knowing that this could be the final turn of the battle it waited anxiously to start its attack. Bubblebeam was a modified bubble attack which would attack the opponent with forceful bubbles from the user. The bubbles that were produced where about the size of an apple, even though looking frail and weak, these bubbles fly almost like bullets from a gun. Being projected at this speed and the number of bubbles being project, the enemy would have no choice to either block the whole attack by wasting its turn or only blocking a few to use a move but still get hit with the others.

Kingdra started its setup as it widened its snout and blew out apple sized, clear blue projectiles at Chandelure. The sound coming from Kingdra was a soft “pew pew pew pew” sound as it flew directly towards Chandelure. It not only had the power to do some damage but it could also slow Chandelure due to the sheer amount of projectiles being produce. Kingdra made sure to control the amount of projectiles being produce to prevent Chandelure from being knocked out. This could be Chandelures last moments as a wild Pokemon.

Chandelure BP#8

"Alright Kingdra, try and use Brine again to Chandelure," Khun commanded Kingdra. Alpha hoped that this would be the last time that Khun would command Kingdra as he would proceed to catching that Chandelure. "You should probably get a drink, here, I’ve bought a couple extra for this trip." Khun tossed Alpha a refreshing soda can. Together, they both opened it and drank it to their heart's content.

Kingdra gathered water on its stomach yet once again. The power seemed to be intense this time, aiming it directly at the helpless chandelier. When it was ready, it launched a large stream of water from its mouth, making its way towards Chandelure swiftly.

"And the water wasn't even waking Chandelure up!" Alpha was astonished, he focused his attention to Kingdra, not hearing what Khun had to say to Kingdra as well.

"Alright Kingdra use Bubblebeam to drop its health down to near death zone, make sure to control the amount of bubbles to account for Chandelure’s health, we don’t want it dead we just need it weaken enough for capture." Khun pointed his fingers at Chandelure--it was shaking because of excitement, Alpha could feel it.

Within its body, Kingdra released large bubbles that slowly flew towards Chandelure. Each bubble bursted upon contact, and still haven't woken Chandelure up.

Chandelure was still sound asleep, I was amazed that even after continuous attacks from Kingdra it was still deep in its sleep cycle. This was it, the time has come to end all this.

“Kingdra, back off from Chandelure, you’ve been great in this battle.” I acknowledged Kingdra’s presence in this battle and the sheer force of will in it withstanding the amount of attacks from Chandelure.

I reached in behind my backpack looking for the small apple sized ball which would hopefully hold Chandelure. I gathered it and placed it within my palms. It was slightly bigger than a normal Pokemon, the top half was black and it looked to have a yellow H painted on top of it to make it resemble the Hyperball.

“Alright Chandelure, you’ve been strongly fighting against my Pokemon but now it is time for you to join me.” I threw the Hyperball towards Chandelure, still soundly sleeping the ball hit above its head making a soft crack as it popped open. In a flash Chandelure was absorbed into the Hyperball and it landed on the dirt with a small thud. One twitch, two twitch, I wondered how this would end.

NBP#4

"Alright Chandelure, you’ve been strongly fighting against my Pokemon but now it is time for you to join me." Without any other words, Khun threw a Hyperball towards the sleeping dark chandelier Pokemon.

"I think this would be a sure catch." Alpha had his arms crossed on his chest. He didn't want to be sure but he really knew that Khun would catch the Chandelure easily.

As the Hyperball wiggled thrice, it finally stopped and click.

"Congrats on your first catch!" Alpha greeted Khun.

OOC: DIS BE SHORT

The Pokeball shook the third time and then it just stopped. It was finally over, after over half of hour of battling against Chandelure it was now sitting in my Hyperball ready to be used at any moment. I walked along the dirt path towards the Hyperball which was rested above some branches near a tree. I bent down to reach for the ball, I grasped the Hyperball containing Chandelure with both my hands and just stared at it in awe. One of the newest breeds and most powerful Pokemon is now within my hands.

"I never thought the Park would produce any results but this is just amazing." I stuttered as I placed the Hyperball into my active lineup belt. I stood there and waited for Alpha to lead me to another encounter.

NBP#1

"Hey, Elisa, would you mind taking a trainer through Mt. Deckbi?" James Carter, one of my colleagues and a member of the Elite Rangers, asked as he held a brown folder lazily. "Alpha had some more important things to do, and this Khun guy needs a replacement ranger."

"Deckbi? But I've just been there," I replied with a sigh, turning my attention back to my office's desk. There was a stack of papers there, and most of them hadn't been filled out. I really had a lot of paperwork to do.

I glanced back at him, and it did not seem like he had any intention of leaving me to work. I sighed again. "Can't you do it?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"It's at freakin' Deckbi! Why don't you want to do it, either?" Chainy retorted back. He really did not like Mount Deckbi, it was visited too often already - especially with the influx of new creatures.

"I have work to do. I have to file, like, two really long runs. Okay, make that, two and a half," I answered with a smug grin. I thought I had won. I should have known by now that I could never win against this Elite - not ever... Well, unless he was drunk or something of that sort.

"Ahh, little Elisa here can't take the heat of Deckbi, huh? And she also can't juggle doing paperwork for three runs? Hah! I bet Boss-Sama would love to hear about this."

I closed and opened my eyes; clenched and unclenched my fists. I had to keep the continuously building rage tucked inside of me - no matter what the circumstances were. Chainy always had a way to get on my nerve...

I inhaled a sharp intake of breath, letting my fury out in a long exhale. I looked back at him, smirking. He had not won this time!

"Fine! She won't be able to see this amazing legendary Zekrom Khun has," he pushed me further. I blinked, suddenly jumping up and snatching the file of of his very hands. I flipped the folder open, beginning to read about the trainer's mythical creature.

And that's when I caught myself... James began laughing, now he had the smug grin plastered on his face. He walked away, evidently happy that his work was done. I was pretty certain he did not have to do that much paperwork - compared to me, at least.

"Screw you," I muttered in a voice loud enough for him to hear.

He flashed me one of those smirking grins as he called back over his shoulder, "Chainy, seven; Elisa, two. I'm still winning!"

I decided I would go there now, not much point in postponing it anyway. I fished out my yellow-colored RDA (Ranger's Digital Assistant) from my drawer - I hadn't used it in a while.

I pressed a red button that was embedded on the side, causing it to make a few short beeps. I tapped an orange one this time, holding the device over the Trainer File. In a moment, the info had all been scanned and stored - just like that.

I grabbed my brown shoulder bag, stuffing in some couple of Pokedolls as well as a container carrying Revival Herbs. I didn't want my bag to smell, y'know?

Anyway, I headed off towards Deckbi, deciding to take the jeep. Flying on either Staraptor or Dragonite was okay for me, though they would probably have a hard time spotting and landing at Mt. Deckbi. As for teleportation, I honestly did not like the feeling of it - or, perhaps, i just wasn't used to it.

Driving there was pretty easy, and it took me a rough ten to fifteen minutes. I closed my eyes for moment, getting ready to face the heat and dust.

"Hey, there! I'm Elisa, your new ranger," I greeted, introducing myself to Khun once I had spotted him.

"So, where should we head to? And, if I may ask, are there any other Pokemon you might be interested in capturing - other than those you have Voice Disks of?" I asked, trying to hold in my excitement of hopefully seeing Zekrom.
