Thread: Ref Testers

Okay I put this here because we need new ref testers. Monbrey, Ash K, and webmaster our the only ones. but Web is gone Monbrey is to busy so is Ash.

I Have trying to get tested for a long time now more then two months now. So I say if our testers are to busy to do it, at least get one that is not. Like Jr he would a great for this job, I think he's a good ref knows his stuff why not. Now yes a lot of the URPG members are refs, but there are a lot of new people coming in that would like to be ref also on top of all that I have been on Aim a lot and and every time I ask for a battle someone says they will do it, but there is never a ref around when you need one or maybe it's just me It could be. One thing is for sure we need more ref in the URPG.

I'm not the best speaker around but this should cover it all, so will anyone help me convince Monbrey to appoint a new ref tester or am I out in the cold?

Although I agree that more ref testers would be beneficial, there aren't any refs I'm willing to promote at the moment.

I waited several weeks for my tests when I first became a ref too. This is nothing unusual.

Getting a ref tester has never been easy as long as I've been around (coming up on five years). I passed my ref quiz around the end of 2007 and only became a ref after passing the test in June 2011, taking about 8 ref tests or so. Granted, I was inactive for I'd say about an year and a half in total, but even so, that boils down to about 8 ref tests in a two-year span/4 tests in one year/1 test every 3 months. Granted, that was an extreme case since I feel that our ref testers now are more willing to test than they were a while ago, but as I said, ref tests won't come by a lot. And from what I've seen, you aren't somebody that's online a whole lot, so it's very likely you could just be missing the testers when they're available. If I can recommend anything, that's to try and work with a tester and figure out when both of you are available for a ref test.

(Yeah I did fail the ref test like 7 times LOL but in my defense a lot of them happened when I was like 13 and I only failed once in the BMG era!)

Try VMing one of them and attempting to set up a specific date. That always works for me.

We Taste Pies... is still a Senior Ref as well, just not Head Ref anymore.

And it doesn't help to have so many people in need of tests. SOME OF US HAVE AT LEAST SOMETHING RESEMBLING PART OF A LIFE YOU KNOW.

Back in the day, I was a Ref Tester.

Some did. I preferred a deck of cards myself.

Using 20 of them splits nicely into segments of 5 percent.

I imagine every time Harry posts, he's sitting in a rocking chair, rocking slowly baaaack and fooorth...

My little Ash, growing up ;).

I waited 6 months for a ref test, during which I would pursue a ref test most every day. It didn't have any profound effect on me.
