So considering this has never been done before, recent information has shown that Unova will have 2 new gyms, a Water and a Poison. What will be the verdict when it comes to these gyms? Will we(and I highly doubt this) wipe out the original and replace it or will we add them on to the roster once we move over. Would be a shame to waste 7 new gyms just due to lack of members.
10 gyms, need 8 to challenge E4, like Kanto in the Anime
Considering we don't actually need to do anything till like November it doesn't matter, but we'll probably just add them on.
This. However, my initial thoughts were actually the opposite of Pman's concerning the E4. At this point in time, I'd require all 10. Still, hypothetical thinking right now is pointless =PQuote:

Do we know that it's just 2 more? I mean from what I can see the water and poison are the only ones confirmed
If there's 8 more, or even 5+ more, a second Unova League. Otherwise they'll be added to the existing Unova League.

Not sure why we'd wipe the league and replace the gyms lol, that'd leave people with good records like Winter out of a job. We'll probably just have to see more information so we can get a better grasp of what we'll have to work with. For now, all we can do is speculate I reckon. I predict that if they do add more gyms URPG will follow suit, though.
I agree with Pman.
On the question of more than the two gyms we know that Cheren is handing out Basic Badge so there could be more. Also I think that the Nimbasa Leader is an Elesa successor even if no-one else thinks that the one in the trailer looks different
