Welcome to the Daycare Center. This is your one stop shop to teach your Pokemon Breeding Moves (BM), Move Tutor Moves (MT), and Special Moves (SM), which includes moves that are found on promotional Pokemon and Dream World exclusive Pokemon moves. Please be sure to read all of this post before using the Daycare Center.
To use the Daycare Center, you must pay or 5,000 or 10,000, and post how much money you have before and after this payment. You must subtract your payment from your stats at this point from your stats, not later. Along with your payment, you should post what Pokemon you want moves to be taught to. For a payment of 5,000, you can drop off one Pokemon to learn one move. For a payment of 10,000, you can either drop off one Pokemon to learn two moves, or you can drop off two Pokemon to learn one move each. You must specify what moves you are teaching to your Pokemon when you post. Refrain from editing your post after you post, or it may seem like you are cheating.
While a Pokemon is in the Daycare Center, it is not able to battle, be traded, or participate in most other activities. Do not drop off a Pokemon in the daycare if it is already participating in one of these activities. You may not drop off Pokemon in the Daycare Center if during their stay you would have no other Pokemon to use.
After you post what Pokemon you are dropping off and what moves you want them to learn, you must wait 24 hours for the move to be taught, and then you must post you are picking up the Pokemon from the Daycare Center. Afterwards, you must edit your stats accordingly.
If you use a Pokemon while it is in the Daycare Center, whether accidentally or on purpose, you post that you did so and pay 1,000 and then wait 24 hours from the time of that payment to complete teaching that Pokemon the move.
Pokemon can learn as many moves as they are able to, provided you can afford the money and time.
Any Pokemon that is evolved can learn any moves its previous stage could have, so a Charizard is still able to learn BMs. However, a Pokemon cannot learn moves that it can't, but a future stage can, until it is evolved to that Pokemon.
To find out what BMs, MTs, and SMs a Pokemon can learn, it is recommended you check The Ultra Dex. What way a Pokemon learns a move is prioritized in this order, from highest to lowest: Level Up, TMs/HMs, BMs, MTs, and SMs. This means if a Pokemon learns a move through a higher priority method in any generation, it cannot learn it through a lower priority method. For example, since Abra learns Fire Punch as a TM, it can't acquire Fire Punch as a BM through the Daycare Center. There may be some errors in the Ultra Dex regarding this, so it is best to double check, and report any errors to URPG staff.
If a Pokemon learns a move through a higher priority method due to a new Pokemon game release, you must post in the Daycare Center that you are editing that move in your stats to that upgraded method. For example, in your stats you change: Light Screen (BM) to Light Screen (TM).
If you own a Smeargle, you may reset all of its Sketched moves to have 10 Sketch again for a payment of 6,000.
Your purchases at the Daycare Center do not have to be approved, but they will be periodically checked by employees to make sure everything is being done correctly and without cheating.
