I would like to purchase a Shelmet, please!

Along with this purchase, I had a question: If I purchased a Shelmet and a Karrablast, got the right amount of battles to evolve them both, could I use my Link Cable to evolve them both at the same time? Or would I have to trade with somebody else who has a Shelmet/Karrablast?
Also, I would like to use Pickup from this to grab a Choice Scarf.
