OKay people, Double Contests can now be done by Judges. If you are confused about anything concerning this style let me know and I will clarify. For judges, remember that you must have the license two months before judging one.

Hi, Webmaster has told me that hyper beam is wrong in the R/S/E Move list and has recently tested it.

Jesse, whenever you get this, I just tested Hyper Beam. It turns out you can be stunned in the same turn you used it. For the test, I used Hyper beam when I was at the front of the line. A whismur then used hyper voice and startled me for -3. Other startles happened as well. I still have yet to test moves like Destiny Bond, but for now, that's what I found.

Btw, it also happened with Selfdestruct. So I'm assuming moves like Destiny Bond and Memento can still make the user vulnerable to startles in the same turn it was used.

Jesse, I've been pondering this ever since my first contest. Moves that freeze the crowd meter still give the crowd bonus if the type matches the contest. For the test, I used Leer at the front of the line in a cool contest. I still the +1 from the crowd despite the meter being frozen for the rest of the round

So, you still get +1 just the crowd meter doens't rise, except for the person who used the move leer, assuming the contest attribute is cool

I've always judged it like that.

Oh, I just remembered that it was judged in a way other than that in one of my first contests. It was long ago, though. I just thought something was up. Just needed a little reassurance for my judging purposes.
