Thread: URPG Stories Chat and Feedback

Yeah, it really wouldn't apply to my plot for the character to get another pokemon. The demanding pokemon in question is obtained in sort of an unconventional manner. The opportunity to catch said pokemon is the ultimate goal, so adding one more pokemon to capture really wouldn't make sense. Thanks guys.

Your avatar doesn't have to catch the added Pokemon; if you stick it in as a cameo appearance, and the story is good enough and long enough, that should be sufficient. We've had plenty of stories that I've read where the main character doesn't actually even catch the Pokemon, whether he befriends it or his character isn't a trainer, so he doesn't want to catch it.

I have a question.
I know that for Pokemon to evolve they must participate in a certain number of battles or items needed for evolution must be bought from the Pokemart, correct? Well, in the stories we URPG members write, most of them contain Pokemon battles (against wild Pokemon or against some random trainer). Do these battles count toward how many battles you've encountered to evolve the Pokemon? And in the RP (National Park), do battles there count as well?
Sorry if this has been asked before or it sounds weird, but I just want to make sure, you know.

I did? I literally made it up on the spot. I just sent all of those IMs to Siless so I wouldn't have to make up the IM times. I'll have to get around to changing it.

Your in-story Pokémon have absolutely nothing to do with your in-stat Pokémon. No battle count.

I'm not sure about the National Park policy, though; you might want to PM one of the Rangers about that. ...I should probably know this.

Think of it this way: the Pokemon and characters in your stories do not exist when it comes to the mechanics of the Ultra RPG. They are there merely as tools for you to tell an entertaining story about your featured Pokemon that you want to catch.
You don't even have to feature that Pokemon, when it comes down to it. So long as it shows up, it's fine, is the rule.

The main character in The Moral Highground owns a Vaporeon and Pidgeotto: two Pokemon I don't own! No one's ever told me I'm not allowed to do this, so I'm sure anyone is able to have them
